“Picked up a bunch of stuff to take out. Had a few random slices and chicken parm roll. All were delicious. Then we also ordered an order of rigatoni with vodka sauce, a Caesar salad and a veal dish with asparagus and moss in a white wine broth. Vodka sauce was excellent. I loved the veal and my wife absolutely loved the dressing on the salad. Great place for take out or dine in.“
“The food is always good from Crostini. Word to the wise wish I’d figured this out earlier. Ordering from Uber eats vs. chow now shows an astronomical difference in prices. For example a plain pie is $23.12 on Uber eats vs 17.75. A chicken roll on UE is 9.95 vs 7.50 on Chow Now. HUGE difference in price and add in all the Uber delivery fees etc it is very expensive.Edited to add as of early May 2022 a plain pie is now 23.96 on Uber eats and chicken roll is 10.13.ETA: Almost one year later a plain pie is 25.03 on Uber eats.“
“The food was very good. The only thing is it is extremely expensive. We went with another couple and it cost us $500. Part of it was our fault. We all got the specials and didn't ask how much they were. They were $50 apiece plus 3 of us got the special appetizer of the night. We did have a total of eight drinks also which adds to the bill but $50 shrimp entrée is kind of pricey. I think the service was good and they had a singer which was kind of loud we will go back there again, but probably during the week, not order an appetizer, and order directly off the menu, so no surprises. And limit limit ourselves to one drink. “
“(Edited my og review because it was poorly written and rushed.)So there I was, on a spontaneous adventure, when suddenly, BAM! Google throws me a curveball - "Nutella Empanada." You bet I was intrigued. It was like the universe daring me, "Bet, let's go."Stumble into this place, and it's like I've walked into the heart of the local scene. This guy, just oozing neighborhood vibes, hits me with, "You're not from around here, huh? Welcome to the best Italian spot in town." And he didn't stop there - gave me the lowdown on all the hidden gems nearby. This dude was living and breathing local charm, and I was here for it. The lobby? Packed with the coolest cats you could meet.Turns out, snagging a table at this joint is usually like finding a unicorn - pretty darn rare. But guess what? They worked some magic and got us in... into an outdoor igloo, no less! Yeah, you read that right. An igloo! (Peep the pics for proof - it's as rad as it sounds.)Now, let's talk food. Holy smokes, it's delish. The staff? Angels in disguise, I swear. Super friendly, on-point, and ready to make your experience top-notch.Oh, and if you see anything with Vodka sauce on the menu, just do yourself a favor and order it. It's a solid 10/10. Trust. All in all, this spot isn't just a restaurant; it's a local legend. Do yourself a favor and drop by. You won't regret it.“
“Saturday evening dinner without a reservation. Walking in, my eyes immediately gravitated to the pictures of the owners and the many celebrities that have eaten and visited there before. The bar area is very nice and large, with TVs playing sports and news. We were greeted, welcomed and seated immediately. The dining area is very large and decorous. The tables large enough to sit us all. My cousin-in-law and his family frequent the restaurant and he practically knows everyone there, so as we sat, we were introduced to the owners and pretty much about a half dozen waiters and other staff members. All were extremely friendly and welcoming. As expected with all family style restaurants, the tables are very close to one another but positioned in a way that still allowed for ample space for you to move and sit comfortably. When we sat, there were hardly any people there, but within an hour it was full of patrons and large families. It was loud, but manageable. The food was unbelievably delicious. I haven't had true traditional family style Italian food in a long time. From the Fried Calamari and cold antipasto appetizers, to our Veal Parmigiana, Penne allá Vodka with Shrimp and prosciutto entrees. Paired with a Cabernet Sauvignon Palermo Napa, I truly enjoyed my meal. I haven't enjoyed food this good in a long time. My girls shared a huge plate of Chicken fingers and fries, and they loved it. I highly recommend anyone who's in the area to dine here. You won't regret it. Thank you for a great meal and patronage.“
“Very good food at Popei's starting with their garlic+ bread. I had the lobster and shrimp stuffed penne in vodka sauce - hearty, tender, perfectly cooked seafood without that rubbery feeling in a fantastically creamy sauce. I sliced my stuffed penne into diagonal strips and every bite was amazing. Others had the crab leg and steak special; crab wasn't as good as my shrimp and lobster being a little over-boiled perhaps but the skirt steak had great flavor and chew. Most entrées hovered around $30. Would absolutely return.Note they have valet parking due to its popularity and limited parking space - so bring some small bills.“
“For top-notch pizza and exceptional service, head to Catusco Pizza in Huntington Station. Their pizzas are flavor-packed with a perfect crust and fresh toppings. The menu also features appetizing options, including gluten-free and vegan choices. The friendly owner makes every visit memorable. Catusco Pizza is a must-try spot in Huntington Station. (Try their vodka slice and the penne a la vodka and thank me later)“
“We hosted our daughter's first birthday here with 40 people on a Sunday afternoon. Working with Ervis and Gabriella was fantastic -- great communication and very flexible. The event turned out better than we could have expected. The food is AMAZING. Everybody is still raving about it and a few of our family members have already been back! Would definitely recommend hosting a small event here!“
“We enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night at Piccolo Mondo. (We hadn’t been there in 10 years!) We were a party of six and everyone was very happy with what they ordered. The jumbo shrimp risotto was out of this world!! Thank you for a lovely evening.“
“I've eaten their food several times and I have never been disappointed. The employees are friendly and the food is excellent, which says a lot considering the FACT that they are basically in the center of some of the finest pizza restaurants within a couple mile radius. It is my opinion as well as most everyone's opinion that I have spoken to regarding this topic that the pizza restaurants in this area could go toe to toe with the highest rated pizza restaurants in all of the tri-state area. If you doubt what I am saying come see for yourselves.“
