This place is a little pricy but most Fire Island places are. The ice cream was really good and the scoop size was very generous. I got the cotton candy flavor and there were little chocolate chips in it which was a nice surprise. It's cash only though so make sure you have some with you.

I like to consider myself a bit of an ice cream connoisseur and our family ritual is when in fire island you can get ice cream every day. There are only so many options and with no cars & you can only get so far on foot or peddle (not counting water taxi). Beaches & Cream is a small shop in OB and literally right across from the ferry entrance. They have those commerical 5 Gallon tubs of quality ice cream (Edy's) and soft serve too.
