“An under-the-radar gem, Dake Korean (it's actually a Korean eaterie, not a sushi place) is a must visit and probably the best Korean food I've tasted on Long Island. My son was in the know about the place, and took me there for a belated birthday dinner. Started with excellent banchan and an amazing seafood pancake, then a dish of phenomenal squid and pork belly, all washed down with yummy soju. Loved Dake!“

“Ma and Pop shop that melts my heart when I’m there (2nd time going). They greet you when you come in and are the only employees there (so definitely have patience though their kindness makes up for any time waiting).Each time I’ve been there they’ve given us a complementary “starter” (2 pieces per person of a spicy, on-the-house sushi).Today we went for the lunch combo and that’s been our favorite so far since the price is good for what you get and I love that it comes with a choice of miso or salad (last time we went for dinner and I had their bulgolgi sushi which was amazing but I loved how fresh and filling their lunch special was while also being budget friendly).They even served us free dessert both times; a complementary (and beautifully cut) orange slice and half a mochi each (last time it was the vanilla mochi which I loved as it reminded me of an orange creamsicle with the orange slice but today’s was a matcha mocha that was absolutely delicious).We’ll definitely be back :)Vegetarian options: I had a sweet potato sushi roll that was so good! “Fukee, and their Staff make for a great Sushi experience. They are super friendly, and keep their restaurant very clean. The food is great, from the dressing on the salad to the Hamachi Kama, the rolls are the proper size with quality fish and can be customized to your liking - they remember me and make sure my rolls are seed free and cut into 8 Pieces - Thank you May!! I highly recommend trying them out, esp for the lunch special as its an easy way to try their food for less money then a dinner, find what you like and then go in for a nice dinner with friends as they can accommodate larger groups and have a great bar too.“

I loved the different options available, and was super happy that they had vegan options because it gives me another place to go with friends who have food restrictions! Came here for dinner on a Saturday, and even though it was crowded, we still got a table rather fast.For an appetizer, we got K-Mac Sliders, which were delicious and probably the best thing of the night.For dinner, we got a chirashi platter, which, was very nice and featured some great fish. “Went on a Monday when a lot of other sushi places are typically closed. I am happy to report that the fish was very fresh. We did the omakase. It is $120 a person for 15 tastings. They also offer 10% cash discount. The staff were very attentive. The inside is very modern and clean. The omakase was a great experience with various different flavor profiles. I liked that the omakase included appetizers and dessert. Definitely would recommend.“

“I was in the area and found Naru ramen. It was a great experience right from the start. I was greeted pleasantly as I walked in. The restaurant is clean and bright with great smells from the kitchen. I ordered the spicy miso ramen and it was terrific. Rich, spicy broth and flavorful sliced pork. “I'm an avid sushi lover and always like trying new places. This was my first time at MoCA. The ambience and decor were nice. I love the design of the seating area and bar. Booths were super spacious and comfortable. My husband and I ordered 2 appetizers (Mini Rolls and Indian Pancakes) and 2 specialty rolls (American Dream Roll and Baja Roll). Everything was delicious, just wish the rolls were a little bigger. Definitely on the smaller side compared to tons of other sushi restaurants I've been too. Honestly, we were still hungry after that. So order more than you think. We were going to order the Mille (Green Tea) Crêpe Cake but they ran out for the night. Looked really promising though. For cocktails I first ordered a margarita and I feel bad saying this but, it was one of the worst margaritas I've ever had and my husband agreed. It didn't taste anything like a margarita, and it was sour and just weird. However, the waitress was nice enough to switch out my drink and I ended up ordering a Jalapeño Mango Martini instead, which was delicious. Overall everything was good just wish the sushi had a bigger serving.“

“A Large restaurant with a lot of bar, table and hibachi seating. Nicely decorated in a modern style. We had a hibachi dinner that we really enjoyed. The portions were generous and the steak was very tender. Excellent shrimp and lobster tail. We had the tempura banana for dessert. It was a real treat.“

Their sushi and food is consistently fresh and delicious. Picking up is fast and easy. The packaging for takeout is excellent and protects the integrity of the food and flavor. They are a hidden gem on Long Island. 100% recommend them to anyone.“

But then we ate at Aki, newly relocated from their previous location on Jericho Turnpike. I'd have to say this is some of the best Sushi I've ever eaten. Since the wait was a bit longer than usual we were kindly given a plate of Edamame on the house. That's when we noticed that our server was working the entire dining room by herself after another called in sick last-minute.Being short staffed is a challenge on any night but this was a packed house on Saturday night with a large number of take-out orders flowing and the team stepped up with impressive dexterity. My friend had the spicy cold noodles which were also tasty. The service was great, we did have some issues with the waiter mishearing us, ordered chicken bun but got a shrimp bun, but the waiter was quick to comp us for the shrimp and put in the order for the chicken bun. Both buns were good but the chicken was better than the shrimp. The dumpling were solid but nothing special. A nice atmosphere, there was a mini Spock photo hidden in a tea cup which was cute. A great restaurant for a nice dinner!“
