“An under-the-radar gem, Dake Korean (it's actually a Korean eaterie, not a sushi place) is a must visit and probably the best Korean food I've tasted on Long Island. My son was in the know about the place, and took me there for a belated birthday dinner. Started with excellent banchan and an amazing seafood pancake, then a dish of phenomenal squid and pork belly, all washed down with yummy soju. Loved Dake!“

“Visiting my childhood home town from Boston. Childhood friend and I drove by Bayview Kitchen on our way home. Initially thought it was a kitchen reno store then realized it was a restaurant. Decided to try. Always up for adventure. What a WOW! Staff from entry to restraunt were warm and friendly. Love the decor sleek and so clean. Service was great. Now the important part..the food. We both had the j*** chicken tostada which was super delicious. Ingredients were so fresh.. Right amount of spice and ingredients with a nice kick. Got a chance to speak with owner and chef. They were so proud of their restaurant and looking to hear our thoughts on our meal. We told them it was extra special. They are looking to provide fresh quality soul food to the community and I would say they exceeded our expectations. Wishing them success and looking to return on my next visit to Amityville. “First time guest and will definitely come back. The first impression is dealing that parking is a challenge and that the place was packed. As we arrived for our 6:30 Open Table reservation, my wife and I were seated right away despite the busyness. Had the joy of meeting our server Renie (hope I spelled it right) and she was absolutely fantastic on attitude, knowledge and timeliness. Having had gastric sleeve surgery, I couldn't eat more than a few bites of my Shrimp Spectacular (in photo) but she was very attentive to make sure that we were not displeased with our meal because of how little we ate.I am not a seafood junkie so my food opinion here may not be the best but the shrimp spectacular was perfect for my palate. My wife (who enjoys seafood far more than I), who had the combination platter, absolutely loved the food.So if Renie gets word of this review, please be sure to share with her that WE WILL BE BACK!!!!“

“First visit to this restaurant and definitely not the last! We tried the south indian cuisine. Both ghee roast dosa and utthappam were great! They were as close in taste to the ones that you get back in India! The chilli potato appetizer was delicious too! Definitely coming back to try more of what this place offers!..“

“This is my first ever Google review of anything … but think it is important to let people know that Tommys Tacos at the Old Big H shopping Center is doing everything right. Last week I hosted a poker tournament for 16 guys and went to Tommy’s Based upon my own Experience with his food as well as my Guests … who are all “foodies” and endorsed the decision. We rotate the game once a month and each month someone cooks or caters and in the the 5 years of the league (60 games) everyone agrees that Tommy’s knocked it out of the park. I worked with Bella in Catering but Tommy was good enough to step in and make the perfect selection. We went with a Tray pf Birria Tacos … Tray of Mixed Burritos … Street Salad topped with Blackened Shrimp … Chips … Salsa … Guacamole. We picked it up and the packaging was incredible in Tommy’s Tacos Boxes … Tommy even helped take it to the car. He treats his staff and customers right and it shows in the finished product. We have a lot of choices in town … but if you do not hit Tommy’s … you are missing the best Mexican in Town. They have recently added a bar and the servers are always incredible. Also … plenty of parking. If you are doing Shop Right … Home Depot … you have to stop in and get at least a Birria Taco and Margharita … it will remain your Staple for Mexican in Huntington. I also want to add … there was enough food to last all night and into the morning. The next day I took the left overs to a friends job site and fed three other guys who agreed … best they ever had … it it was a day old!!! Tommy also took my call the next day when I had the question … what is the best way to warm up and serve the next day. Again .. in Tommy you have a guy that is great and proud of what he does and does not over prove what he has to offer.“

“Absolutely amazing! My daughter and I had an appointment in the area today, and being not from the area I asked for recommendations on the Long Island Foodies page. You did not disappoint!! We ordered four tacos (the crispy chicken was my favorite,) corn, jalapeño poppers and drinks. Every single item was amazing! Then the staff - we are outside and from the first staff member we met to the last the service was top notch! Extra thanks to the gentleman who made sure to bring me out some Fat Boy Sauce, because I mentioned it was our first time he said “you have to have it.” He was right. We did! And Sal. Every restaurant should have someone as welcoming and lovely as Sal. He made us feel like regulars on our first time. My daughter has already asked to take the hour trip back again next week, and I’m thinking about it.“

They greet you when you come in and are the only employees there (so definitely have patience though their kindness makes up for any time waiting).Each time I’ve been there they’ve given us a complementary “starter” (2 pieces per person of a spicy, on-the-house sushi).Today we went for the lunch combo and that’s been our favorite so far since the price is good for what you get and I love that it comes with a choice of miso or salad (last time we went for dinner and I had their bulgolgi sushi which was amazing but I loved how fresh and filling their lunch special was while also being budget friendly).They even served us free dessert both times; a complementary (and beautifully cut) orange slice and half a mochi each (last time it was the vanilla mochi which I loved as it reminded me of an orange creamsicle with the orange slice but today’s was a matcha mocha that was absolutely delicious).We’ll definitely be back :)Vegetarian options: I had a sweet potato sushi roll that was so good! I also see they have avocado rolls and other rolls that are just surrounded by a single but delish vegetable.Kid-friendliness: There was a mom and her little toddler waiting for takeout; the owners not only gave them the complementary starter while they waited for their order but even a whole mochi to the toddler as she was waiting with her mom. “One of the absolute best vegan and vegetarian restaurants on Long Island! I have been trying to go for a long time due to the raving reviews on Facebook and last night was my first chance to try it. Erin the owner was a delight! She constantly checked on us which I appreciated. Next, I want to speak about the food! There was an array of options, which made me want to try everything! I ended up choosing the shrimp roll for an app. It was fried to perfection and had a very similar texture and taste to shrimp. My cousin ordered the scallion pancake which was also delicious. For our entree, I ordered the coconut sticky rice with mango pieces and pineapple boba that floored us! I also ordered the chicken drumsticks and was in love. Finally my cousin ordered the general tso chicken which she enjoyed as well. All this delicious food for only $50 felt like a steal! We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu. We also ran into the sweetest couple while there and had wonderful conversations about veganism. 100/10 experience!“

The wait staff was very professional and attentive, the mood was lovely with a pianist playing in the background and birthday dinners celebrated with festive candles and singing and the food was spectacular! Our party enjoyed two different salads, which were delicious, and 4 different entrees each being over the top delicious. The menu is extensive and has very varied choices. I ordered lamb gyro, chicken souvlaki, spanakopita, grilled vegetables, falafel, lemon potatoes, and a tray of Greek salad. Everyone was so happy with the food. And the staff are so nice, and go above and beyond. This is my new favorite Greek spot. We had a total of 3 different servers, all female, and all were phenomenal. I forgot their names, unfortunately but again, they were all amazing and most importantly, friendly! I requested a ham, COOKED/SAUTÉED ONION & American cheese omelet, fries and RYE toast with crispy bacon. My omelet was well done, the onions RAW, fries were ice cold my bacon was not cooked and not there had to tell the runner, and my toast was marble. All this for OVER &50.00!!! “Sawadee is our favorite go to for takeout/delivery! We love their crispy wings and amazing noodles. Their lemongrass pork chops are amazing and flavorful. They are so accommodating when we request bread less wings, even though the breading is insanely good and crispy. Their pad Thai with chicken is juicy and well seasoned and their pad se ew with beef is phenomenal. They are also so sweet and their customer service is fantastic. Cant say enough about Sawadee!“
