“This is a Spanish Food Restaurant with Ecuadorian specialties. The outside sign says it all...The Grand Amazon. There's definitely something for everyone's taste from meat, side dishes, salads to even hamburgers. The plate sizes are ample & full of flavor. Whether you are stopping in for just drinks & appetizers or a full family dinner, you will leave satisfied for sure.I liked the fried bananas aka plantains/platanos they were delicious and they have both styles of sweet bananas & green bananas...yummy!There menu had many options to choose from & different variations as well to please everyone. The staff was very accommodating and helpful when trying to decide on which dish to choose. The atmosphere is a comfortable cross between spanish/island/outdoors brought inside flavor perfectly mimicking the Amazon. They have lunch specials & there was talk about Bingo & kareoke nights.I recommend the steak meal and grilled chicken Caesar was amazing.Vegetarian options: You can customize any variation of salad and vegetables and add items as well.“

“Came to write my review so fast. Chicken tacos were delicious. I got them doordashed and they were still so hot, double wrapped with a soft corn shell so they didn’t get soggy, and then individually wrapped in tin foil. I appreciate this level of care because tacos can get messy. The chicken was tender and juicy and the flavors were on point, and the tacos were filled well for the price! Highly recommend“

La Confianza Deli Rest. Latin American • $
175 S Ocean Ave, Patchogue

“I've been to La Confianza twice and really enjoyed the food both times. The first time was a few years ago. Our Spanish speaking friend who ate there often brought us here and we had a FEAST! We each ordered on our own (pick 2-3 things) on top of rice (white rice, rice with beans, or yellow Spanish rice) and we each paid at the counter before sitting. Our friend then ordered additional food to share... all sorts of dishes we've never tried before. It was a heavenly experience, we left SO FULL! The second time we came here for a quick lunch before hopping on the Sunday 2:30pm LIRR back to the city. There was a line since there was only one lady scooping up your choices. The lady isn't quite friendly, but she's not mean either... just efficient so don't expect warm smiles or anything when you ask her questions (my poor vegetarian friend got a icy stare/no response when she asked about the salad). She shrugged and said "no" when I asked if they had any vegetables (lol?). I ordered the chicken (in red/orange sauce) and the fantastic grilled steak (a good sized piece) on top of yellow rice ($12). The hot sauce with their steak is INCREDIBLE. I think the salad comes with your container... so ask for salad before you get to the register. The guy at the register was really nice when I asked about their in-house green hot sauce and he gave me two extra small containers. All in all, the food here speaks for itself! EAT HERE! The booths cleared out quickly so we were able to dine in both times. Relatively clean space. Note: my friend got charged more for the same meal when she went with her mom (not Spanish) than when she went with her Spanish speaking friend. So maybe non-locals like myself get charged more? *shrug* steak was worth it!“

The atmosphere is of old Spanish, Mexican style uniquely beautiful. was there to celebrate my birthday with my family portion sizes were very generous staff replenished nachos service was very quick would definitely return to this hidden gem again their flan that they gave me my birthday served me in the restaurant was very fresh. The one I took home, had a bit of a fishy taste not sure if that’s normal was my first time ever having flan, other than that the restaurant is amazing as well as staff prices were reasonable on beyond was welcoming, would return again.Parking: Plenty of free parking as well as handicap parking, right outside location in parking lot.“

“Love the food, but the service could have been better. I think it was just this time because every other time that I had been there the service was great. This time people came after us with larger parties than us ( we had 3 people) got their drinks before us. Ate and left the restaurant before us. It's sad because we were the only non Spanish group in that area of the restaurant at that time. I love the food, usually the service, and the manager is a very nice gentleman. We probably should have told him about our service, but we try not to get people into trouble when we go out to eat. You never know when you will be there again. I'll be back because I love their food, but I will definitely avoid that server next time.Parking: You just have to get there early if you want to beat the dinner rush on the weekends.“
