“I live in Pearl River. I've cycled through the other Chinese take-outs in town, moving on to the next after bad experiences, and settled on Good Taste...almost 10 years ago. I've been going to them ever since. Chinese takeout is rarely anything special. It is what it is. The owners/staff have always been pleasant to work with, for me, at least. Food is cooked fast. The complimentary hot oil and homemade mustard really enhance the food. You just have to ask for these as they aren't part of the usual boxes full of sauces. Shrimp with lobster sauce is comforting and delicious. I also like their mei funs, chow funs, fried chicken wings. Most of the other dishes are fine too and all typical with what you'd get at most Chinese takeout restaurants. Portions are full and packed in those containers. As far as their Yelp rating goes, consider this. They probably take in 50+ orders per day, times 365 days per year and they've been in business for 29 years. Just over the last 8 years alone, it equals 146,000 orders...and only 6 people have come to Yelp to post a negative review. That, is really good. It's just that nobody thinks to post a Yelp review for Chinese takeout, unless they're upset.“

This place had no line, it was very fast, we were able to sit down, and one of the few places that didn't raise their food prices just for the day. They also accepted credit card. The service was quick, food was really good and it was a huge portion for only $13.“

“Bardonia Oriental is consistently our favorite go-to place for Chinese food. The chicken is most often quite delicious and tender, regardless of the dish that it's placed with. I'm most often preferred chicken with broccoli however I had chicken with Chinese vegetables last night and found it to be absolutely scrumptious! The beef with snow peas is delicious as well. One of our dear friends is Chinese and she refuses to eat Chinese food anywhere but there if that's any indication of the quality of their food. The egg rolls can be hit or miss at times having so much grease they're impossible to consume and other times being so delicious I would eat multiples if I had them! There thick Chinese noodles are rarely greasy and always delicious especially with duck sauce. We prefer the mustard that comes in a container to the hot sauce in a package. I would not recommend requesting sauce on the side as I have done a times because somehow the chicken and broccoli become overdone. Overall, as I've said there isn't any other Chinese restaurant in Rockland County that has earned my respect and is much repeat business as Bardonia Oriental. I forgot to mention how much we enjoyed the crab with cream cheese appetizer! They are very good at following specific orders so if you like your vegetables al dente to preserve the nutrients and simply let them know how long you would like to cook it the vegetables. Otherwise the broccoli tends to be somewhat soggy. With a little bit of accommodation and finagling and won't improved consistency for the egg rolls, I would delightfully add the extra star all the way! Comes with a side of white rice 10/10 - Hot and Sour Soup: On the more mild side of hot and sour soup, actually no kick at all, could use more white pepper but was refreshing when paired with the fried rice. “I always order from your establishment. The food is delicious. However, tonight I ordered through beyond menu and placed and order to be delivered at 7pm. I called the restaurant around 730pm.. The woman that was there answered the phone and apologized saying” She never saw the order and the food will be made right away. I wound up showing up to pick up the food. The woman at the front counter was the same woman that answered the phone. She was beyond disgusting and rude to another customer. Telling this customer she didn’t pay and her card had to be charged. Then she starts talking to me and I showed her that I paid. She told me “I wasn’t talking to you.” I responded with “There is no reason for you to be nasty!” She responded with “ We are very busy.” Then a tall man proceeded to hand me the food I ordered. She said something me and once again I turned around and responded “Learn to talk to people, there is no reason for you to be nasty!” I walked out with the food.I do not care if there is a line out the door or you are busy. We ordered wonton soup, crab rangoon, and cashew chicken combo. The wonton soup was D-LICIOUS!! Their wontons have nice, thick wrappers and are filled nicely. I believe they hand make the wrappers, which is a great added bonus to the quality. I'm not a big crab rangoon lover, but my husband is. He raved about them. The dipping sauce was definitely on par. The cashew chicken was good. It lacked the crave-ability I really was looking for, but it was good. Egg roll was great. Pork fried rice was a little lackluster. I highly recommend adding it to your eating spots! I'm excited to try some of the other entrees.“
“Always drove by it and saw advertising in our local Clipper but never jumped in until a few days ago. Three Asians cuisine, Chinese, Japanese and Thai. Had dinner with my family, my daughter ordered shrimp fried rice, my wife had Mei fun noodles while I ordered the yellow curry tofu. We all also shared sushi rolls, sashimi and hand rolled sushi. My curry dish was amazing just as good as if I had it at a Thai only restaurant. My daughter said the best fried rice she’s had and the same with my wife’s noodle dish. My wife gets the chicken and broccoli cooked in garlic sauce all the time because it's so good. Sometimes you have to wait a little bit because they're always busy (because the food is good). And you may feel rushed at the counter. But I'll keep coming back.“

This is pure Chinese American comfort food. The owners were very nice and the food was very delicious. Their chow fun is amazing and I loved their food, especially the pork dumplings that are pan fried. The decor isn't as fancy as MP but infinitely better service and appreciation of customers.
