My family moved to Pelham from Williamsburg, Brooklyn fifteen years ago—back when every corner had a hidden gem, every block had a vibe, and great food was just expected. We’ve always loved Pelham, but we definitely missed that city energy, that edge, that level of craft. For years, Bistro Rollin filled that void with its warm bistro soul—a place that actually reminded us of Pastis and Balthazar.

But The Pelican Room?
It’s on a whole other level.

From the moment you walk in, the décor is absolutely stunning—resplendent, intentional, elegant without being stuffy, and effortlessly cool. You instantly feel transported. It’s the first place in Pelham that genuinely gives off that “you are somewhere special” vibe.

And the food… my God. Every plate is perfection. Not just good—top-notch, dialed-in, chef-driven, thoughtful in every detail. The flavors have depth. The presentations are gorgeous. You can taste the confidence and creativity in every bite.

This is the first time in 15 years that I’ve said, with total sincerity:
We finally have a restaurant that rivals (and in many ways surpasses) the best of NYC.

“Originally we were walking to get pizza but we were reminded of this place along the way. Decided to go and try it instead of pizza. I’m glad we made the last minute decision to do it. I had a wrap with the lemon chicken, rice and a number of unlimited toppings, additions which was very good! Both of my kids and my wife had bowls and agreed that this was the right call. Will definitely go back again and try their other items like falafel, among other things. Superb service and very convenient as it’s walking distance for us. A great addition to Pelham.”

“Store is on a corner near the entrance to northbound Hutch. Limited parking; maybe 12 spots. Store is a decent size, tables and chairs and bathrooms, but is not kept clean. And the service is painfully slow. But the coffee and doughnuts are fresh. ♿️

“Lenny’s Bagel in Pelham,NY, is a delightful find! The fast service, spotless cleanliness, and friendly staff come together to offer a consistently excellent experience. They also serve great New York lox that perfectly complements their top-notch bagels. Highly recommended!”

“This spot was fire 🔥. Total hidden gem. The food came out fast, hot, and the portions are MASSIVE. I wasn’t expecting to be this full lmao. The hibachi chef had jokes the whole time and actually made it fun — not just the usual “cook and leave” type thing. Staff was super nice too, no attitude, just good vibes all around. If you’re looking for solid food, chill energy, and want to get more than what you paid for, this is it. I’m 100% coming back.”

“Stay Away!!! Just kidding, this spot is popular and rightfully so for all the right reasons. The atmosphere is bot chill and warm for lounge lizards wanting a great watering hole. The drinks are fantastic, The Monk Fashioned being my favorite, reminds me of a magical Sazerac. The food here is delicious too, been a couple times and look forward to returning again soon. Love the Sweet And Salty Grilly with Gruyère, Prosciutto, Fig Spread, Arugula on Sour Dough. The Fonduey Mac & Cheese is also a cooze fest of cheesy goodness, also the Whipped Feta with the Everything Bagel Pretzel. Always love to get the Crab Cakes. Though I’m eyeing the Skewered Thighs for next time they look like a divine dine. Fortunately we’ve gotten in without a reservation, though I’m sure it’s good to have one.”

As always, very cozy athmosphere and very nicely made food - great lamb dishes. Wish the flavor of a hummus starter had more significant taste, it didn't have actually any seasoning, wish the tzatziki side was a little bigger. Would be lovely to have ouzo served on the alco menu as well! Great choice of a sweet mastiha shot as a wrap up of the visit! Will get me one for home! And will comeback!”
