“Every time we visit Poughkeepsie, we go to Danny’s. Very large, delicious dinners at an affordable price. We have never been disappointed. My brother lives close by and gets his lunch here at least once a week. I cannot choose a favorite, is ALL delicious!!!“
“This was our first time at the restaurant. What a great experience!!! From the food to the service, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. The restaurant met our expectations and beyond! The food was flavorful and the servers attention was extraordinary. While we live on the other side of the Hudson, we are already planning our next trip. The portions were so big, we couldn’t eat it all because we were also saving room for desert. Our only regret was we didn’t get to try the coquito cheesecake as they were all out. “I just had the white rice and beans with the pork chop. It was so good!!!! This is coming from a Puerto Rican who grew up eating Puerto Rican food. This is definitely a good place! The rice and beans didn't taste oily at all like in other restaurants ive been too. The food really felt like i visited my grandmothers house in PR and she set me up with a little to-go plate to take home.I've been to the spots in Fishkill and Wappingers and for Puerto Rican food, this spot is by far the best one.With any kind of Caribbean restaurants, the food sits out on a hot plate, typically, places like this produce rice and beans that are dry and hard. But not this place! I read other reviews and they may have had a bad batch. Cuz the food I just ate was delicious.“
