Apparently there's a 2 hr gap between brunch and dinner. The booking site allowed for a 4pm reservation. When we arrived we were accommodated but looked at funny. We found out that brunch had ended at 3pm. I was really hoping for the full experience I seen here and paid alot and didn't get it.”

“I'll try to keep this to the point —

I gave Food/Service/Atmosphere 5 🌟 because they were on par for me. For a local spot, this really took me by surprise.

What I ordered:

Miso Soup:
Standard Miso Soup, nothing groundbreaking, but very tasty. Would have loved a tad more tofu & scallion, but that's just me.

Salmon Avocado Hand roll:
Not the hand roll I expected meaning it wasn't in the cone shape I'm familiar with, but it came presented like a taco with the seaweed as the shell. Salmon cuts were huge, and with great colour, avocado was bright & ripe, coupled with the perfect amount of rice. Everything tasted clean, and fresh.

Yellowtail Jalapeno Nigiri:
I messed up with this, originally I wanted a sushi roll, but my brain flubbed. Great mistake though, because the yellowtail was delicious, practically melted in my mouth, topped with a delicate cut of jalapeno on top.

Love Milk Tea:
Honestly, just a really delicious milk tea topped with osmanthus flower. It was light, refreshing, and not too sweet thankfully.

Wagyu Tataki:
Tataki is meant to be briefly seared on the outside, but the center remains raw. Was this seared to the degree I wanted? No. But, was it delicious? Yes. And the meat was incredibly tender, flavour of the sauces really complimented everything on the plate.

I finished off with a matcha cheesecake to go, I'm sure it'll be good.

With tip, I spent $67

Again, for a local spot in Richmond Hill/Kew Gardens, I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied. Personally, with slight adjustments, these folks would do great in midtown. I spent a little under what I would spend at a restaurant in the city, and got an incredibly satisfying meal, and left full.”

“If you're going to go here for the sandwiches go here after 10:00 p.m. there is a kid working there He's Spanish The only Spanish kid working there, he makes the best sandwich. And don't be afraid to make an order that is close to a specialty sandwich he will do it and it will be a good price.

Kid-friendliness: Kids are safe here during the morning but late afternoon into the night I wouldn't recommend it.

“Open 24/7 and the food isn't bad for you. They have noodles and fried rice and cold appetizers. I love going there when everywhere else is closed or I am unsure if they're open. This place whether in flavor, price or time never fails me. I love ordering their spicy noodles. Their fried rice is alright but my favorite is the noodles still. My favorite app is the one with fish, its cold and savory and appetizing. Never crowded. Never wait in line before. Sometimes it's short staffed. They speak English enough for you to order and speak back to about your order. Never too hot or too cold in there. Sometimes it could be a little noisy in there but the booths help. I've only gone at night though. Can't say for how it is when the sun is still out. The staff are the sam every night I've gone.”

Burgers chicken fries. I can just have fries .. I think that they are excellent. They used to sale a whole fish that was divine. There are drinks , wine beer. They often play music and have live entertainment.. they typically close in late summer for winter.”

“Perfect little neighborhood gyro shop. We are frequent customers. Very residential area, quiet and relaxed. The food is great, it always tastes very fresh. Large portions. Our usual waitress Violetta is attentive, friendly, and wonderful. We live a block away and they are good neighbors and a wonderful addition to the community. Only drawback when visiting is that parking can be a challenge.”

Until yesterday, I have been consistently disappointed. But this? It was absolutely EVERYTHING I had dreamed about. The prices weren't ridiculous, the bathroom was PRISTINE, the staff were helpful and friendly and it was incredibly, amazingly delicious. My only complaint is that I live too far away from your stores to get it very often. But about that? My hips are less upset about the distance. :) I will definitely be back, though!”

“Dining at Meju was a tremendously memorable, phenomenal experience. The food pays homage to more traditional Korean cooking and fermentation while still reflecting the chef's unique touch. What surprised me the most, however, was what I can only describe as refined comfort. I found myself thoroughly enjoying both the comforting food and ambience throughout the evening. Each course was excellent, and Chef Hooni Kim's passion is clear (both in his food and in his explanations). He appeared happy to answer any questions regarding the food or Korean fermentation. This kind of experience, even in somewhere as diverse as NYC, is rare and special.

And yes, this meal left me feeling healthier but also happier the next day. Thank you for a great time!”

“The place is definitely smaller than I expected, which probably explains why reservations are a must. The ambience was beautiful good vibes, good music, and a really friendly staff. The drinks were great, mine were strong , and the food was solid overall. My strip steak was perfectly tender, but it could've used a little more seasoning like salt. The mashed potatoes were slightly cold, but it balanced out because my salmon was piping hot. The highlight for me was the birthday moment where they came out with a huge sign and sparkler to sing, which made it feel really special. I'd probably come back again! It's just far from where i live.”

I ordered the Red rosette cake apparently only sides were buttercream frosting but I assumed all of the icing would be buttercream . In our opinion ( and my fiances opinion, I bought it for his birthday) we found the red icing to be extremely bitter, no butter cream flavor whatsoever and the white part wasn't very sweet at all. We just didn't find the icing tasty at all but the inside was moist and the dulce de lece was a nice light flavor. I would say make sure you know for sure what you are ordering and ask to clarify to be sure . Other then that the cake was beautiful. I think the customer service could be more friendly but I understand business can make one be assertive at times. I also found it strange they didn't have a box big enough for the cake to properly cover it and we had to place it in the car open . Not used to that but hey, like I said beautiful cakes and clarify what you want to make sure they are on the same page with you with your expectations”

It comes with a variety of items and flavors. They kept checking if I actually need anything more and offered to add rice. Very caring and attentive. One customer there was chilling for a long time after done and they just let him relax in peace while the restaurant traffic is busy. Such patience and respect for customers. “We ordered for the first time tonight from Sammy, former proprietor of JuJu’s Bagels now transformed into El Toum. We ordered 4 items and they were ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes. The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. More than enough food for a family of four with leftovers. This is a very welcome addition to a neighborhood missing this kind of fare. I highly recommend supporting this local business. Some of the best falafel and tabouli I’ve tasted in quite some time too!”

“Made a last minute 7 top reservation, and front manager was rude and told us we had to wait for the last person to show up even though I told him that my sister was gonna be here in 30 minutes, so I asked you are gonna have us 6 wait 30 minutes outside the restaurant for the last person instead of having us sest down and start ordering some drinks and appetizers, I would understand if the restaurant was bussy but it was a sunday night we where most likely las table and waiting the 30 minutes was gonna make the staff close later and we would have tu rush our whole meal, after 5 minutes of back and forth we got sat and started ordering, besides that service was great, server was very friendly and well pased, I ordered the breakfast burger it was very dry, the patty was very charred and bacon probably old, other than that we had a good time.”

Until yesterday, I have been consistently disappointed. But this? It was absolutely EVERYTHING I had dreamed about. The prices weren't ridiculous, the bathroom was PRISTINE, the staff were helpful and friendly and it was incredibly, amazingly delicious. My only complaint is that I live too far away from your stores to get it very often. But about that? My hips are less upset about the distance. :) I will definitely be back, though!”

The drinks were great, mine were strong , and the food was solid overall. My strip steak was perfectly tender, but it could've used a little more seasoning like salt. The mashed potatoes were slightly cold, but it balanced out because my salmon was piping hot. The highlight for me was the birthday moment where they came out with a huge sign and sparkler to sing, which made it feel really special. I'd probably come back again! “Store layout is great! Would be a really good hangout place if no covid to worry about. Their "cold signature milk tea" is the HK style tea and different than the other bubble tea you had. Highly recommend the "curry fish ball" and their egg waffle (we had the classic style). Will definitely visit again!”
