“Very good but my main advice is don't go overboard on whatever meats they have on the buffet. Behind a counter they got a whole smoking setup with absolutely tons of meat. Loved it, loved it, LOVED IT but i ended up biting off more than i could chew, literally.“
“I haven’t had food from them for a few years, but after moving back I tried them again, this time at their new (to me) take out window. The pao de queijo was great! As was the coxinha and flan. I would have appreciated a menu on paper so it would have been easier for me to point to what I wanted since I’m really bad with Portuguese. I wanted to order more but I think it got lost in translation“
“This place get packed easily due to the good and tasty food they provide.Amazing to see the big selection they have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I believe they are the only one that offers a self service buffet breakfast. If you have been there for breakfast yet you missing out.A family business that have been in Astoria for years serving the community and making us Brazilian happy.“
“Thinking about eating a good pizza, ? then let's go to Theodoro Pizza, Brazilian dough and filling, service and a clean and safe environment, live music on special days, it's worth checking out... I loved it.Vegetarian options: specialty of the houseParking: super easy to find your spot...“
“Live music was phenomenal!!! Didn't know there would be room for dancing. The oven was not working the night we went and so the menu was limited. Nonetheless, the fried chicken pieces were delicious. So was the shrimp dish. I would go back just to give it a full menu try.“
“Went the other evening with a group of friends and we had a fantastic time. Great assortment of food, superb service by the staff, and a nice ambiance. The meats tasted great and the side dishes complemented them well. Also can’t say enough about how good that pineapple was - worth going here just for that.A lot of these types of establishments will try to cheap out on how much they serve but we were treated to a true all you can eat experience. At a certain point we needed to ask the waiters to stop because we were all too full.In short we had a fantastic time and we definitely plan on going back.“
“Love coming here for lunch, fresh meats from the rotisserie cut on sight to your choosing. The prices are reasonable as the food is set up in a buffet style where you pay per pound. I spent 30$ including a drink, highly recommend the top sirloin, unbeatable in flavor. May have to wait til 12 if you come at opening time and prefer well done, I had mine at medium. I love their potato salad, maduros, and spinach lasagna. They have fresh fruits and salads as well. The atmosphere is casual and cozy and not pretentious or uncomfortable, so I enjoy dining in. Great place to go to and close to subway.“
“Amazing Brazilian restaurant ?..Top quality + Best customer service + No stress for parking in the heart of Astoria community ? .. Also we can shop in the supermarket right beside the restaurant where we find good Brazilian products and medicines from Rain forest ? ..So , I strongly recommend for anyone who is interested to know more about Brazilian culture ???? ❤️?? ..Sincerely,Renato & Nina ? ..Vegetarian options: All kinds of vegetables, fish , basmati rice , soup and juices ?? ..“
“There is only valet parking upon arrival. I understand the why since this is a busy shopping area and the restaurant does not want anyone else to park in their property. The host was very pleasant and so were the servers. The atmosphere and decor is very fancy and neo medieval style. The lights were so dim inside by my table that I needed to turn my iphone light on to see the menu. There is also an online menu when scanning the QR code. The food was amazing, delicious and the steak melts in your mouth. My favorite was the garlic steak and the mashed potatoes. I asked two servers for skirt steak and it came after I told another server that not enough meat was coming. We never switched our card to “red” since the meats came very slowly. We have been to other steakhouses in NYC where we had to keep on “red” for a long time since a lot of choices of meats came our way. The crème brûlée was delicious and the portion was bigger than expected. I only gave the restaurant a rating of 4 stars due to the pace of meats coming out of the kitchen.“
“Been coming here for over 10 years, and although this place has changed in prices, staff, and overall improved with the times, the food still remains excellent. Our waitress, Isvely, was always attentive of our table and asking if we needed anything else. Very fast, efficient, and elegant! Our server for the night, Johnny M along with another gentlemen, were incredible and had us popping the button on our pants and loosening the belts within 20 minutes. So many different meats, chicken, and of course the pineapple! 5/5 place, would recommend coming here every year.Kid-friendliness: Offered the baby seat for our 4 year old, but she declined as she’s a “big girl now”.“
“Came here for Valentines Day with my family- 2 adults and 3 kids. Great atmosphere and loved the decor. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. The food was the best, we started with some appetizers and for our main dish we had the churrasco and the rib dish. My kids devoured their plates. We will definitely be coming back and I definitely recommend this place. Very kid friendly as well.“
“Nossa que delícia! The buffet is full of fresh options with variety. Super healthy and flavorful food. They had mousse de Maracuja—my favorite!! The mandioca was nice and crispy. Just perfection. The farinha was delicious. Customer service was great and the place was so clean. I’ll be coming back to sit down soon. A hidden gem!! I feel like I’m back in Brazil!“
“I love anything that's Portugal. From Porto wine to porcelain tiles to bacalao to pulvo. And my favorite will be the wood fired charcoal bbq. From the moment you park your car in the parking lot, you smell the wood fired rodizio. That's heavenly. This is not a fancy restaurant. Not at all. They use ingredients and dinnerwares straight from the Restaurant Depot warehouse. But who cares? They perfectly pair well with the wood fired rodizio. This kind of restaurant reminds me of small & independently owned eatery on the hills of Lisbon and Porto. And most importantly, they are mass producing my favorite piri piri oil in a jar.I haven't been to this restaurant since I moved to NJ (and FL) and I miss them quite a lot. No, Fogo de Chao (while excellent on their own) is not the same.“
“The açaí bowls remind me of how açaí should taste and how it used to taste before it became overly commercialized. The staff is always friendly. The space is very clean. The paninis are so good! When I work in Manhattan, I miss my Astoria location. I'm glad they moved in.“
