Toooo sweet. Everything is too sweet.. my Shanghainess people told me that's how authentic the Shanghai dish is, sorry everything is too sweet, maybe just little less sugar, but everything else is good, except I waited an half hour for my cup of tea.
Best authentic Shanghainese food I had in Flushing. Definitely try the 葱油拌面，Scallion noodles, exactly the same taste I had in the childhood. Nice and clean inside. Good place for family or friends gathering.

The Red House restaurant in Flushing was unexpectedly an authentic Shanghai local cuisine restaurant. I ordered small Shaoxing white-cut chicken, old Shanghai smoked fish, and shredded eel in oil, and they all tasted good. Especially the old Shanghai smoked fish, which is freshly made and served hot with freshly soaked soy sauce. It is very fragrant and crispy. The portions are generous and the price is moderate. There is only one vegetable, sea greens, which is ridiculously expensive
