This is my first time at this restaurant. My friend found it for us and he specifically picked it because he heard it had good cocktails. we ordered four different cocktails. All of them were pretty good. I wish I remembered the names of them but the blue cup with the pink outside was one that was my favorite. By far the ceviche was bomb. The guac a little bit of flavor for me, but mixing it with the ceviche made that even pretty darn good. Really enjoyed the fish taco over the other two pictured. we got the Maduros which were fresh and yuka fries. we also got the octopus which I thoroughly enjoyed. The chipotle, shrimp in the pineapple was honestly not my favorite. My friend really enjoyed it as he enjoyed sweet dishes, but it was too sweet for me. Overall, I definitely recommend a place. Definitely get the ceviche and the octopus! And I'm not even a big seafood person to say that. The service was great, and while we were there, the waiter even gave us a shot on the house. So check it out.

Great cocktails, great bartender, i saw her making drinks and runing the bar, she looks like she knows her s..t. Waitress was nice, food overall was good, besides the octopus, great flavors but so tough, it needed at least 30 min more to be cooked. 2nd visit so i don’t want to say anything, next time i will probably.I will be back as the experience is nice.

Looking forward to returning to try more items on the menu, as the flavor of everything was great. The eggs Oaxacaquenos were frittata-like in texture which erred on the slightly overcooked side, but still fluffy. The empanadas de mariscos were so delicious--perfect texture and flavor and a great selection that's not often seen. Service was ok. Will be good to return and order different items.

These people do not have disposable utensils whatsoever! Food is good, but if people order out it is only common courtesy to provide disposable utensils. I was on my break and it was impossible to find disposable utensils. That really bothered me.

I just want to start by saying that we have been going to Ruta for years! It is our all time favorite restaurant and we come here for birthdays & special celebrations. Chef Felipe and Pedro along with the rest of the kitchen staff are amazing, the food is always delicious and consistent! The service is amazing, Emilio is the best server! He is attentive and even knows our favorite drinks. We love that Ruta is always playing traditional Mexican music. Although we came for dinner this time, their brunch deals 2 for 1 are amazing. I would recommend their mole (best mole ever), their buñuelos, their steak, queso fundido, to be quite honest there is nothing I've tried here that I did not enjoy. If you're thinking about coming, just come already!!

Save your money. Ordered a chicken quesadilla for pick up. First off it was 20 dollars for a very small quesadilla. The chicken fry and tasted as if it had been sitting in their kitchen for days. AND, it s my understanding that a quesadilla has cheese. I could not find it. Never again ..

3.5 stars for me! I got the mole enchilada and guacamole. The guac was unexpectedly small which was disappointing and the mole enchilada was quite heavy so the taste got a bit tiring. I think I would come back again to try another dish that's hopefully more my taste! I did enjoy their free salsa and chips.

I've been here many times and the service and food quality has been consistent every time! I told my dad to try the Huatulco Enchiladas and he said they were amazing. I finally tried something other than those myself and I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp Alambre Chilangos! The drinks are always on point and they have a very nice mezcal selection. Ruta Oaxaca never disappoints!

I just had to share my recent dining adventure at Ruta Oaxaca Mexican Cuisine--it was absolutely delightful! Let me walk you through the deliciousness I experienced. First up, the tacos. Oh man, the birria tacos were like a warm hug on a chilly day. So tender, with this amazing broth that just soaked into every bite. And the carne asada tacos? Pure perfection. Grilled to juicy perfection, they had this fantastic kick from the onions and lime. And let's not forget the pollo tacos--light, flavorful, and just what I needed to mix things up. Now, onto dessert--the churros. Picture this: crispy, golden churros filled with creamy vanilla creme, and then drizzled with chocolate tequila sauce. I mean, come on! It was like a party in my mouth. But you know what really made the experience? The vibe. The folks at Ruta Oaxaca were so warm and welcoming, and you could tell they put their heart and soul into every dish. So, if you're looking for a taste of Mexico that's as genuine as it gets, Ruta Oaxaca is where it's at. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
