I’m here for lunch. Goat curry is good. Starters were okay. Great vegetarian options. I did not like DAL and the dessert. Buffet is for 15.99 per person.
In any restaurant, I go for the food and a clean environment, rest of the fancy offerings does not matter (to me at least) .. the place was super clean, the food was homely and exceptionally good, just the right amount of spices, non-oily, the hot n sour soup was just like how it’s made at home (some other restaurants I tried the soup was like off the shelf!!), nans were too good .. service was good and quick too!! We have been here before too for the same reasons !!
We went to the restaurant for dinner on Friday. I have been longing for something new in the area and the flavors of this place were truly fantastic. We had the chicken tikka masala, gongura goat, and navaratan korma with butter naan. I can easily recommend the navaratan korma for anyone that wants something delicious but not at all spicy -- our youngest ate it up without an issue! This place is definitely worth a try for lunch or dinner. The dining room is located between a mini specialty (Indian) grocery and a deli/quick shop. It does seem like a bit of an unorthodox layout/location for a restaurant, but I encourage you to ignore that until you start eating, at which point you will easily forget about the layout and be focused on the flavors.Five stars for hospitality as well.

Buyer beware I got Chicken Biryani for $14.00 and there was only 2 pieces of chicken, a leg and another piece I couldn't Identify but mostly bone . They also had a hard boiled egg in the mix . Very disappointed in the amount of chicken . The Pani Puri was excellent at half the price .

We ordered 2 plates of punugulu & it was very very oily - like literally when you squeeze oil was dripping. I’m attached few pics and you can see tbat oil on the napkin was from just one of them. We asked the gentleman who served that to us to cancel the order from the check, his response was “He can’t do it” with a rude tone. Also naan was very thick like pizza - really not well cooked as well.Mysore bonda is really and must try item!
Very authentic-looking food in a bare bones, kind of Bronx-like atmosphere. Food was only lukewarm, which vastly decreased its appeal for me.

A chowhound-type discovery for me. Rough but delicious! Buffet lunch daily, including naan cooked for you. 11:30-2:30 or later (I was on the later and it seemed to be fine. I write "seemed to be" because we did not communicate in the same language, other than smiles.Big room with tables and chairs through the grocery at new location now up the road towards east Greenbush. Yum!.

Very good food, prices have gone up and maybe portions are down a bit, sometimes they may have a different chef, as the food is different, not bad just you have to expect
Amazing South Indian buffet in entire Albany. None of the restaurants in the town can match this ! You will get proper chicken biryani and pulao here
