Stopped in during layovers to and from Boston. Got a ham-egg-cheese on plain bagel both times, both good. The waiting area can feel hectic when they're busy, especially when you're getting ready to board/reboard. Speak clearly, don't hector the staff, and you'll get out of it just fine.
Braced myself for bad/rude service after reading reviews from here, but instead, received courteous and efficient service. Train from Chicago arrived with a 1-hr layover, so there were definitely a lot of people lining up for food. At least 4-5 people working behind counter, being as quick as possible without being rude. I choose the chili because it’s already made and on this stop on Amtrak we only have about 30 minutes to get up the escalator, order the food and get back down to get back on the train. This is my second time ordering this combination of the chili w/ cheese and corn chips and I love it!
