“Got a couple of egg and cheese sandwiches on our way out of town. They took a few minutes because they really are made to order, but service was excellent. The sandwiches were fresh and delicious, and we picked up a loaf of the chocolate babka to take home. Also grabbed some frozen pierogi, which meant we didn't have to wait for the shop around the corner to open.“

“Came here for the first time. Will definitely be coming back. Really cute place, excellent service, nice people, lovely atmosphere. Enjoyed sitting outside in the garden. Recommend the chipotle bowl with the crispy chicken. The flourless chocolate cake and latte were excellent, too.“

“I stop here every now and then when I'm driving upstate to my brother's place by Rhinebeck. Him and his wife and kids (lots of kids) are all vegan, so I can generally get a good variety of treats for the house. The bakery products always look lovely and the store's overall aesthetic is very nice, but I find the actual taste and flavors to be very hit or miss- some things are excellent, some very mediocre- but there's so few vegan options upstate, so this spot is certainly filling a void. However, the staff very frequently are unwelcoming, sometimes to the point of outright rudeness. They seem to treat their paying customers in a very snobbish manner for some reason, which is unfortunate. I often walk out wondering why the overall experience was so strange, but I guess it's just something that you have to live with if you want to have a vegan dessert in the Hudson Valley.“

“The baked goods are amazing but consistently sold out of cardamom buns and cinnamon rolls….? Also no ability to heat sausage rolls and ham and cheese. The croissants are unmatched! Paris has competition. Seems like they are growing because they are delicious but be prepared to wait.“

“This place is great and I can't recommend it enough. Not only is the quality of food amazing but the staff and service have always been extremely friendly, welcoming with a non-pretentious attitude. This place is accesible for local Kingston residents, unlike some of the gentrification cafes that have popped up in recent years that cater strictly to tourists or recent, wealthy transplants. The prices here are actually fair- like it doesn't cost $12 for a breakfast sandwich with no meat on it- fair. Very clean and like I said, high quality taste in food. I always get a breakfast sandwich but their lunch options are great too. There is no better place to get a breakfast sandwich in Kingston. I love Fat Cat !“

“Deising’s bakery is hidden gem of Kingston. It’s small town dinner meets incredibly bakery . My wife and had lunch there today and it was awesome . The staff are super friendly and accommodating . The food is reasonably priced and portion size is more than reasonable . The bake goods are delicious The only issue is there is limited parking but circle around the parking lot you won’t regret it .“

“This place was such a gem. Our group came for breakfast during our weekend trip in Kingston. The hot drinks came in unique beautiful mugs and the food was delicious, with a lot of vegetarian options. I got a brekkie sandwich - the bacon was a little tough, but taste was good. One side of the cafe is mainly for ordering and then there is another side with seating - one long table that could seat a big group and a couple other small tables.“

“My husband and I have lived in the area for just over 4 years and this is our bagel spot. I hail from NJ and have high bagel expectations and they are all met here. Amazing bagels, eggs cooked (not microwaved) to perfection with cheese melting out the side of their breakfast sandwiches. Cannot recommend highly enough; staff are always pleasant, efficient, and make amazing food.Location is perfect, just outside the main hub of Red Hook, small dining area that is always clean and welcomingVegetarian options: Egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches, gluten free options and so many delicious flavored cream cheeses“

“We stopped at Annabelle's in Red Hook on our way to The Ozone on a rainy Sunday morning after church. We ordered coffee and three different pastries to try as well as some of the quiches. First, the quiches were delicious with lots of goodies. My favorite was the bacon and mushrooms. The filling is delicious and the custard is yummy. We devoured that! We tried the blueberry turnover and that was the favorite. The blueberry filling tastes so fresh. Get that if you go. The best pastry ever! Next we tried a giant fritter that looked like an apple fritter... but it's not. I was especially excited to try this but it tasted dry and stale. I was super disappointed. I took a star off for this. The pistachio scone was delicious and giant. Not so crumbly (which I like) with great flavor. My hubby LOVED it and he let me try a piece The waitstaff is very friendly and nice. We sat by the window in comfy chairs and I loved that.“
“The new owner or owners have really done great things with their new venture. The pride of ownership is apparent. It's way cleaner than it used to be. Staff is more attentive and enthusiastic.Traditional New York bagels. Nice to see egg everything and 7 grain everything. It's just a way better vibe and experience than the B&B of old.“
“i love it here! really nice guy at the counter today, washed our blueberries for us and made me an excellent flat white. pastries, bread and muffins r super good. i love shopping at a small place like this where everything is curated and you know that it's good. it's expensive, but really good quality stuff, small business supporting other small businesses! very good vibes. at a certain point before i knew about the farmers market i was going here to fill large food orders like a dumb dumb but now that i'm acclimated i recognize village coffee and grocery as the treat it is.“
“Love it. But! The Kingston/Lake Katrine location is closing to the public next week. ☹️ It will be for production and staff only. Wouldn’t mind working there! ? I just love the cafe here, big, open space, delicious baked goods. I really think this big cafe idea is a good one, but I understand it might not be the priority as production and staff is important, of course.“

“Immaculate Vibes™ at Samuel's Sweet Shop in Rhinebeck! My boyfriend and I visited on Saturday morning and got some really delicious lattes and a few other items! Of course the candy is the main attraction but they had a lot of locally made products and I'm most excited to try the Tree Juice syrup that we purchased!“
