Definitely an under appreciated gem in downtown. The food is incredible. It takes a while to come out, so you have to be patient. But that’s just because it’s all made fresh with a lot of skill and care.

I really enjoyed the food at the Charleston house. It's got a nice vibe and atmosphere. It is an older building and that comes with some issues but the staff and their kind attitude makes it easy to overlook. I would recommend to anyone looking for some south cooking with a twist!

Really good dinner in a nice location. We ate outside in the courtyard. Unique for Rochester Southern food. We had the Jambalaya, Steak and Shrimp, and Fried Green Tomatoes. All very good. Note the entrance is down a short set of stairs off the sidewalk.

I used to love this place when it was Unter Biergarden, but we tried this new place and were very disappointed. To be fair it was an odd time and the place was nearly empty so maybe they were off ther game. The food was good, but took forever to come out, and every beer we tried on tap (several) had dirty tap lines and still had some sanitizer in the line. Someone clearly didn't know the correct way to maintain the tap system.I may try them again at a more regular time because the food was decent, but my expectations are low.

The ambience is on point I love the wood finish throughout the restaurant and I like the old style set up. However the Mac and cheese was dry and tasted like noodles the wings were ok but I don't understand the flavor of the house sauce it doesn't taste like what it smells like and I don't even know what it smells like. What got me is that they only serve beer and wine ?

Two glasses of house Cabernet was all I needed to really top off the evening.
