Tried this restaurant because it was close to the hotel we were staying at. Had the dumplings for an appetizer with the complementary bread and sauces. All were incredible, full of flavor. The lamb kabob was also delicious. The chicken kabob would've been better if it came with a sauce, but the flavor was still nice. Services was fast and friendly. Would dine here again.

Absolutely delicious Persian food in LI! They cater to vegans as well, the hummus delicious! The chickpea dumpling.. OMG, finger licking good! My sister had a Greek salad with chicken souvlaki scrumptious and enough for 2 and my niece had the beef souvlaki and cherry rice… bursting with flavors! A solid recommendation!

First time at this restaurant and it was satisfactory. It's a bit small but cozy. It was quite busy on a Sunday evening. That should tell you how good the place is. The wait staff worked well and collaboratively. My party was seated in good time base on a reservation. Then we got water right away. Then we got complimentary hor dourves. Then our waiter came right away. It was all done with different staff and in sync. Kudos to Ravagh management. The food was palatable and in large portions. The price is very reasonable. Very recommended.Parking: Parking by the restaurant seems limited but there's parking across the street and behind the restaurant.

The quality has gone down over time. The service can also be better. Maybe someone should teach the front counter people how to smile more when greeting

Okay. I'm going to give this place three stars for the food. If you like middle eastern cuisine this is a good place to eat. I had a "kabob" formed from ground lamb. I put quotes around kabob because it may or may not have been cooked on a skewer, but who cares. It was very tasty. I don't know what the Mediterranean spices are, but they're delicious. The dish came with a mountain of perfectly cooked basmati rice, a roasted onion and a roasted tomato. I could have done with less rice and another tomato, but who's complaining. We also started with baba ghanoush. I couldn't have spelled that without Google. The food was delish. Now the bad news. I don't like the place. It's a converted diner. It's too small and it's cold. When someone comes in the door the temperature of the whole restaurant drops 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Too brightly lit, too crowded too cold. And what's with the beverage service?? Isn't this how you make money? They don't have two thirds of the beverages on the wine and beer list. It was ridiculous. The menu lists a number of interesting wines and beer, that make you think, hey these folks know how to put a menu together...and then all they have is a couple of basic beers and the kind of wine you see at the wine store and ignore. Our waiter explained, this is the Manhattan menu. That didn't make me feel better. How hard can it be to print 50 copies of a beverage menu and make those available, instead of showing me a lot of good beverage pairings and then telling me that you don't have them. Or just go to the beverage mart and get the booze. Even if they paid retail, the mark up is at least 100%. They'd still make money.

We shared a few appetizers after an afternoon museum tour. Everything was excellent and the waitstaff is anxious to please. They want return business and make their patrons happy.

Excellent Persian cuisine. You can dine in or take out. Very good take out!! Love this place. It is a bit far for me so I can’t go as often as I want . Wish they would open a second one closer to me.

Terrible experience here due to the excruciating noise levels which the staff took in their stride.Table of 18 behind ours was completely disruptive and had no appreciation of fellow diners.I actually had a panic attack and had to get outside and went back to our hotel.Tremendous disappointment as we were there on a much awaited visit with family and missed the meal they had planned for us.Parking: Ridiculous.
