Finally found a Quality sushi restaurant in Long Island worthy of being called a Japanese sushi restaurant. Sushi is excellent, service is slow and atmosphere is okay. If you are a sushi snob like me. Kuryu is the place to go authentic sushi.

Hidden gem of a restaurant sharing their space with Roslyn Seafood. I was there a few months ago but it seems like they recently just renovated. Lovely restaurant with a cozy ambiance. Our hostess/waitress greeted us and seated us immediately. My husband and I came here with our 2 kids. My husband had known beforehand that the owner/chef was previously the head chef of Nobu NYC so he already had high expectations. I however did not expect much. After having two kids my husband and I rarely venture out to eat. However, we made it a point to dine here for his birthday. We went with the seven course Omakase meal. It was such a memorable experience. Every course was beautiful and exceptional. They always say you eat with your eyes first and this place definitely lives by that saying. The staff are so sweet and nice. We will definitely come back again!
