One of my go-to restaurants, this establishment is renowned for its exceptional cuisine and impressive menu options. The ambiance is equally impressive, with beautiful decor throughout and immaculate cleanliness, including spotless bathrooms. The staff and waiters are warm and welcoming, making every visit a pleasure. Whether I'm in the mood for something classic or adventurous, the diverse menu always has something to satisfy my cravings.

I hosted a business dinner at Limani. There were four of us. Two of us were colleagues, and we emphasized that to avoid any confusion. Two were retirees -- one when asked what kept him busy answered that at his age it was enough to make it through the day. That couple, married, had selected the venue based on proximity to their home, it corresponding to his nation of origin (he came by ship as a student), and the quality. I am glad I deferred to their judgment. I would be glad to go again, though the truth is I am not often in the neighborhood. Our guest of honor selected several small dishes to share. The octopus was tender. That dish is not always as delectably soft. The zucchini chips were battered delicately. They were the best such item I have ever sampled. There were spreads with pita bread. My main dish was tuna with spinach. They have fresh fish laid out on ice. I love to see the sparkle of scales and the brilliance of the eyes. The preparation was by someone with a deft touch in timing the doneness and sprinkling on a modicum of sesame seeds. The side of spinach was exceptionally fresh. It was sautéed so as not to pass into limpness or to be too wet. I would register a minor disappointment. At Greek establishments, I look for retsina. Its distinctive flavor is caused by sealing amphorae with pine resin. That practice is not necessary, but it continues in order to impart the off taste. The "balsamic aroma" Is an acquired taste. I took to it without any cajoling, as an aficionado of stronger relishes. I had enough leftovers, since I was given the starters, for two meals. I don't know why some people eschew leftovers. They are a pleasure. They also are economical and environmentally beneficial. I suppose some worry about germs. I have never had an issue. The ambiance was upscale without being extravagant. The service was impeccable. It was not raucous. It was just lively enough to suit a party that was more mature.

Would have been great but dining with friends pressured constantly to move meal along. We were there at 6 actually arrived early and had to fight for a 90 minute meal. They interrupted 5 conversations at least. We only ordered dessert to hold them off. For these prices we should be treated better. Will not go back except maybe for price fixe special off hours. My Great food. Nice ambiance Really disappointed.

Celebrated an anniversary and were duo well treated. Excellent table, professional service. Had a speciality drink prepared that wasn't on the menu and was well done. Received complimentary dessert for the occasion. Food, as always prepared perfectly and well presented (still great as leftovers). So nice to have a wonderful restaurant so close to home.

Everything was excellent. However, we failed to ask the price of the shrimp special. We were shocked when the bill came and that dish was $157.50. Outrageous!!! The waiter must be required to provide that information. The price was beyond any reasonable expectation.

This restaurant is at the highest price point on Long Island- but earns it with its food and service. We had langoustines and lobster pasta- both excellent. Appetizers were also on point (saganaki and limani chips). Cocktails were pricey $20-$25 but well executed. Desert (loukoumades) was awesome. And came on a plate which said "happy anniversary" which was a nice touch. All in all a classy well executed meal.

My friend & I both ordered the tuna burger. Both sent back. Obviously not fresh. It was ordered rare. It was gray, tiny & fishy. Very disappointing. Staff very responsive & we ordered chicken paninis which were fine. Good fries.

Oh so pretentious yet overly bright. Waitstaff was tolerable but moved too fast to get their attention when they weren't intending to stop by - which was less than I'd have wished [and I don't like intrusive service]. Food was good but not great - prices were higher than warranted. Not worth returning to for me

Dining at Limani is always a treat. The restaurant itself is very well designed and we were offered a range of tables (main dinibg area, bar area, etc.). From the waiter to other staff all are knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt when we requested anything. Food, of course, is the main reason for dining at Limani. Fresh seafood (stone crab claws, salmon were our choices this time. Excellent salad that we requested be specially made. Sides were fine but not outstanding. Happy to see that there are many more desert choices than from years back and wished we could try more but went with profiteroles filled with chocolate mousse (not ice cream) and a chocolate sauce and whipped cream (we requested and provided at no cost). Using chocolate. mousse allows for take home of leftovers. Quality doesn't come cheaply so be prepared to pay a premium over most restaurants. But if you are celebrating a special occasion splurge a bit!
