Made the mistake of ordering food from here on Mother's Day. I would have given them only one star for the food, but the fortune cookies were very fresh. It's the only thing that saved this meal. The shrimp lo mein was the WORST lo mein I have ever had. The noodles were fat and overcooked and had absolutely no taste whatsoever, except for the five packets of hot mustard I ended up having to put on them so they would at least have SOME taste. I didn't see any pork at all in the egg rolls. My husband said that his beef fried rice at least had a decent amount of beef in it, but that was not enough to convince us to go back there again. Also, they need to update their online menu--the prices were WAY out of date, by about 40%.

We have been ordering food from Ming's in Scotia for over 25 years. They food was consistently very good. Covid hit and some of the familiar cooks left. We noticed subtle changes in the flavor of our favorite dishes. Next, the quality of the food has gone down. The meats were tough and the vegetables were not as fresh. We ordered food today 02/08/2024. The seafood hot n sour soup had no flavor. It used to be the best I had ever tasted. The General Tso chicken was so tough and chewy. The beef and broccoli dish was so bland and the beef seemed pasty and grainy. I always loved the food until recently but the quality has deteriorated and the prices have risen like a 5 star establishment. PLEASE aquire new quailified chefs and stop cutting corners by buying low grade food. Ming's rating was 5 stars for years and served excellent food. I'm being forced to go to another take out to get decent food again.

My first time ordering, I got chicken and broccoli and the broccoli and brown sauce tasted absolutely old and had a weird smell upset my stomach and threw it away. Waste of a $20 lunch. Crab Rangoon was OK but I’ve had better for sure. Don’t waste your time. There is better Chinese out there.

Ordered crab rangoons (worst I've ever had), sweet and sour chicken, and sugar donuts (went right in the garbage). Everything was literally wet because they put it in the containers without draining grease. The crab rangoons were bland and soggy. The sweet and sour chicken was average at best after trying to crisp it back up in the air fryer. The sugar donuts (should be rolled in regular sugar) had solidified confectionery sugar caked on top and they had literally melted the styrofoam container they came in because they were put in too hot. Definitely would never order from here again.
Ming's is the best! I pass by a couple other Chinese take out spots to come here. It's no surprise that they're always busy. Nice variety at fair prices. And the taste never disappoints. Friendly service and appears clean every time I've been. One improvement I would make is to offer online order placement; sometimes when I call to place an order the line is busy...A circumstance of being the best Chinese take out restaurant I suppose! : )
