“Oh my God! This is the place I've been searching for. My years long hunt for 'authentic' Carbonara pasta is over. This restaurant is a perfect blend of comfortable surroundings, upscale finishes, and well presented, lovingly prepared cuisine. Wrapped in lovely ambience with friendly service dining here is a delight.”

“I recently visited Tex Chicos Mex and had an incredible dining experience! I started with the dry rub wings, which were perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor—absolutely delicious.

Next, I tried the birria tacos, and they were nothing short of amazing. The tender, juicy meat paired with the rich, savory consommé made each bite unforgettable.

I also ordered a steak burrito, which was hearty, flavorful, and packed with perfectly cooked steak and fresh ingredients. It was generously portioned and so satisfying!

On top of the amazing food, our server, Allie, was outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and made the entire experience even better. Her great service was the cherry on top of a fantastic meal.

Overall, we absolutely loved Tex Chicos Mex and will totally be back!”

“I love Bliss on a Friday night! They have live music and a great ambiance. I enjoy soft amber lights and a quieter environment as the restaurant is not too big and is long vs wide, therefore not overly loud. The food is delicious! Steaks are never overcooked and the kitchen is flexible for substitutions of sides and holding ingredients. My husband says that pasta is amazing. Drinks are made correctly and the alcohol is true to brand (YKWIM?) The waitstaff is attentive, consistent and professional. The owner is always present and looking to make patrons happy. Everyone working there is kind and does their best to make people comfortable. I recommend a reservation as they are usually full, including the bar.”

“I travel 8 miles for BLT's passing over a half dozen places that are closer... pumpernickels perfected what bacon should taste like and how it is cooked....rare amongst the masses....I have had many other sandwiches as well.... the place is just very very ”

“Ordered lunch today which was delivered by Grubhub. These folks get good reviews and I can see why. The food tasted healthy, simple and not greasy. The Wonton Soup was flavorful and the wontons were tasty with just the right amount of meat. The Mei Fun was delightfully light and flavorful. There was an adequate amount of meat in all dishes. prices were fair and delivery was prompt. How How has moved to the top of my Long Island delivery choices!”

“When you eat out you don't expect to get the same frozen chicken you can buy in a Tyson bag from Walmart. The fries were an improvement from what I remember after they got rid of tenders but by god I miss the KFC glory days.

Store-made chicken. Snackers. Potato Wedges. Popcorn Chicken. Delicious Mashed Potatoes AND in reasonable portions, gravy to send you to "flavor town"...

I used to LOVE the food here 15 years ago, but it seems like corporate just dragged everything downhill. All the flavor and quality was drained and now it's just a sad husk of an establishment, gouging the customers that do come to make up for the volume they used to pull.

“I never heard of Setauket Gourmet until a month ago. I've been back numerous times, and try something new each time. great selection, great specials, and all of their food is delicious.”

“Great atmosphere for a date night, but for takeout the personal pie is goated. For some reason it seems cheesier, tastier, and the temperature is much warmer than a full-size pie. And it is a great size for two people. It even reheats closer to fresh. On lunch special (check schedule) its a tad cheaper AND you get a drink.

My only peeve is that the heroes are pretty stingy. Compared to my nearby spot the Setauket Pastaria probably has half the meat. Granted the meat tastes slightly higher quality.

Love the employees. Never an issue with them.

I guess if I had any suggestions for improvement, I'd ask for a way to order zeppolis fresh. They go from a 5 to a 9/10 when they are fresh. I'd pay a premium for that.”
