“I was in the area and needed to kill time. I've been on a sushi kick lately, so this is where I found myself. I started with the fire ball. It had a layer of salmon, crab, avocado and eel, and then topped with sauce. It was very flavorful and fresh. For my sushi rolls I had a spicy salmon roll and a spicy tuna roll. Spice was on point. Everything was very fresh and delicious. It is small inside, but they do have some tables. Service was excellent. My water was never empty as it was constantly refilled. I also requested no "crunch" in my sushi rolls. I was then informed the fire hall had crunch. They easily accommodated me and didn't put "crunch" in anything. I'd definitely be back!”

“In my opinion, this is the best Chinese food in the Mastic-Shirley area. The food is always on point and tastes "clean." Unlike other places, where from week to week, you don't know if it will be good or bad. The gentleman owner is SUPER friendly. (His wife, not so much, but we bypass her.) The portions are VERY generous with a good price point.”

“I went to Island Seafood in Shirley today. We were blown away by the deliciousness of the food! The fried shrimp was so fresh and tasty and the baked Mac and cheese was the best ever. We will definitely be back! There are lots of tables inside too. Can’t wait to try more of their food!”

“I went to Applebee's in Shirley with my daughter on April 6 and I wanted to order their chicken rice bowl. I really like it but I don't like the spices. I have recently been put on a diet with less salt and sugar so I asked my server if they could make it without the spices. He said he would try and he went out of his way to provide me with the best food and experience, he even went as far as to explain to me what he thought was really spicy and what he thought we should put on the side and omit. It turned out delicious and I appreciated so much him taking the time to talk to me. His name is Dereck N. and I truly appreciated him. Great job Applebee's Shirley.Dietary restrictions: I believe that there are very many healthy choices you can choose from if you are on a diet and they make it easy for you to change things so that it fits your needs. Unfortunately sometimes it can be hard to go out to dinner when you have restrictions and what Dereck did for me made it so much better for a person that is struggling with her eating habits.”
