“The place was really cozy inside and it felt very welcoming. The food was great. My muffin breakfast sandwich was terrific, way better than a McDonald's sandwich. My children really enjoyed their pancakes which the waitress happily split for them to share. The coffee was hot and freshened regularly. Overall, I would say this is a great option if you happen to be in the area and looking for a breakfast place.Parking: You won't have a problem finding a spot.Kid-friendliness: Our kids had a great time here and seemed very family friendly. Would recommend bringing kids here.”
“A don't miss eatery when in Skaneatales for terrific (not-junky) fried fish. We were skeptical when we saw the long line of people waiting for takeout at Doug's because the Finger Lakes are known for the excellent fishing there. Every fancy place serves cod or scrod or haddock although these might not be local .. anyway, we noticed a newer sit-down Doug's Dining Room next door and figured if they expanded, they must be good.We were happy we queued up because the line zips right through. Fried fish was a 10" slab of gently breaded, not greasy flounder in a soft, squishy bun. French fries are perfection. No fried clams till Fridays and no calamari left but my hubby had a Lobster Roll he adored. Seafood soup and gumbo smelled delicious. Grilled shrimp skewers landed on the table next to us and looked fabulous. Doug's a super local place with hysterical fish joke signs and vats of tartar sauce and ketchup on the side counters. There are formica tables inside and picnic tables out back too. Prices are circa 1964 so you'll enjoy that too.”
“Delicious fresh bread and giant portions (especially the chocolate cake—share that one). The rigatoni was good. The atmosphere is a 4 because it was really loud and hard to hear.”
“This was a super fun spot to hang out! I got the flight which had some seasonal choices. I liked two out of the four. It was four 5oz for $12. There was plenty of seating. Lots of families with kids. My only qualm was the absence of anything edible. I've included a picture on one of their fridges of a pizza place that delivers. The discount code did not work and we ended up having to cancel the order due to snow on the road so it would have taken over an hour. Other than that, there were some bags of pretzels or kettle popcorn. The bartenders were super friendly and had some good recommendations.”
“Fantastic all around. Had the orzo one night but saw the pizza and had to go back the next night. So good! Great service too!!Vegetarian options: Plenty of options and they were willing to substitute items. Highly recommend!”
“Beautiful restaurant in the middle of one of the most perfect villages of CNY, Finger Lakes region. Food was all wonderful, vegan options were great and the special of the night was so much food! Our waitress Mia was fabulous! We will be back!”
“Such a cute spot tucked into a tiny plaza in Skaneateles ACROSS from the lake! I got a tofu salad and the crispy tofu was perfection. The staff was friendly. They golden milk latte was very tasty. Some tables are quite close but there are roomy spots in the bac. Kid friendly to!”
“We stopped into this wonderful place during the Dickens Christmas 2023 festival and could not have left any happier. They have a great selection of pizza slices and side dishes ready to go along with plenty of made to order options. The food was delicious and sampled quite a bit of it. The icing on the cake was our group contained 6 adults and 2 small children and the bill for our feast was LESS than $100! Valentine's was a fun part of our day and will definitely be part of our plans when we return to Skaneateles.”
“I ordered their fried dough it was absolutely delicious and I'm glad I only got the one portion a double portion would have been way too much The food is good the service is great I recommend this place for all your pizza and sub needsWheelchair accessibility: Handicap accessible”
“Excellent Winery located in Skaneatlus NY. We visited twice while we were visiting the village of Dickens festival. We bought 4 bottles of wine. 2 reds 2 white. Red: cabaret franc and White: avail. I highly reccomed both. Tasting was both knowledgeable and fun! Thank you. Second time we came to visited we enjoyed sipping on wine and listening to the live music. We definitely will return to Anyelas Vineyards again next time we are in Skaneatlus.”
“Great location on the shore of Lake Skaneatales. Okay bar food like mahi mahi tacos, burgers, and big "booze brunch" menu make it very busy on weekends. Book ahead for water view table.”
“The food was delicious. We both got breakfast sandwiches and they were very good. The drinks were good but nothing amazing. I would definitely go again for light brunch and some quick coffee.”
“Had a beautiful brunch this past St Patrick’s day. it was incredible, I had the Spanish Omelette and my partner had the lobster benedict. We also shared the unbelievable Monkey Bread and it was fresh out of the oven and topped off with Cream cheese frosting! it was the second time we had the pleasure of being served by Jesse. His personality is so endearing and his service was impeccable. We had an absolutely lovely brunch and will be back, and asking for Jesse of course!”
“I ordered the Basic Breakfast and I had a feeling my plate sat out too long because my food wasn’t hot .. and the home fries were a pile of brown mush .. I should’ve sent it back but my husband loved his breakfast wrap so much I didn’t want to be a Debbie downer ..”

“Stumbled upon this quaint restaurant the other day and I had to leave a review on the best server I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, Tony! The one lace was packed but I came alone for a quick bite because I was on my way to a meeting but Tony came up and got me a spot at the bar. As I’m looking at the menu we polite palaver and he suggest a some dishes, listening to him changed my life!!! When my food came out he noticed me about to pray over it and he stops he saying he knew I was in a rush so he blessed it while it was being prepared! This man was a god send. One might call him the Anthony Bourdain of the front of house.”
