The ambience is fabulous, with a beautiful water garden. Unfortunately the food was mediocre. In particular the risotto was drowned in bitter olive oil, watery and a bit crunchy. Very little flavor. The hake was passable but overcooked.
After paddling Skaneateles, I needed food, and I decided to try the bistro and Wine bar. I had a refreshing tangerine with beer from prison city brewery, which was impressive. I started with the plant power bowl which was light and refreshing. My main course was the steak Frites, which was cooked to perfection and had some Parmesan fries that were magnificent. Our visit to The Bistro and Wine Bar at Mirbeau was a blend of highs and lows, earning it a 3/5 rating.While the ambiance was pleasant, the expensive menu set high expectations that the food didn't fully meet. I ordered the salmon and this turned out disappointing, leading us to share a burger instead.
