This is a hidden gem here in Southampton. The very cozy atmosphere to the unique menu make this one of our favorite spots when we just want something close and satisfying. The service has always been top notch from the bar to the tables. A must go when you want something unexpectedly great!
There are only a small handful of "Chef/Owner" restaurants on the East End. Doug has been in this category for 23 years. Not a small feat in this market. And, he's the only true local in this small group. His menu is what I call a "yes please" menu. There isn't anything on it I don't want. The Crab & Tuna Tian is a favorite appetizer of mine. We are so glad to have tried this place despite the word "cafe" in its name. Everything we ordered was delicious, and beautifully presented. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Really like the decor, simple, clean and peaceful. Definitely on the return list, and if I were you, I would ignore some of the not so positive reviews of the place and give it a try!
