“Food was fast but the spare ribs have more fat than meat and don't taste as good as they used to and are soft while they used to be a little bit crunchy. Comparing the menu printed Aug of 2023 to the menu in 2021 prices have hiked which is understandable but the quality shouldn't have dropped. No ApplePay in 2024 is a poor business model and they need to upgrade their POS system. Fried rice was good as always.“

“Wanted to try my first Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood and I was so glad this was my first choice. Everything that was ordered was fresh and tasty. I enjoyed the house fried rice, the chicken fried rice, as well as some chicken wings and white rice. Looking forward to eating some boneless spare ribs next time but definitely a winner.“

“Only good Chinese rest within reasonable distance from our home. Gas prices are so high and delivery charges are not worth it. We stick with Yummys. I'm very picky with my egg drop soup and so far 5 ppl in the county are actually descent.“

“Bardonia Oriental is consistently our favorite go-to place for Chinese food. The chicken is most often quite delicious and tender, regardless of the dish that it's placed with. I'm most often preferred chicken with broccoli however I had chicken with Chinese vegetables last night and found it to be absolutely scrumptious! The beef with snow peas is delicious as well. One of our dear friends is Chinese and she refuses to eat Chinese food anywhere but there if that's any indication of the quality of their food. The egg rolls can be hit or miss at times having so much grease they're impossible to consume and other times being so delicious I would eat multiples if I had them! There thick Chinese noodles are rarely greasy and always delicious especially with duck sauce. We prefer the mustard that comes in a container to the hot sauce in a package. I would not recommend requesting sauce on the side as I have done a times because somehow the chicken and broccoli become overdone. Overall, as I've said there isn't any other Chinese restaurant in Rockland County that has earned my respect and is much repeat business as Bardonia Oriental. I forgot to mention how much we enjoyed the crab with cream cheese appetizer! They are very good at following specific orders so if you like your vegetables al dente to preserve the nutrients and simply let them know how long you would like to cook it the vegetables. Otherwise the broccoli tends to be somewhat soggy. With a little bit of accommodation and finagling and won't improved consistency for the egg rolls, I would delightfully add the extra star all the way! If you would like your vegetables to preserve maximum nutritional value, I would recommend requesting them to be a little hard. And definitely not mushy.“

But this is the best Chinese take out spot I've been to in Rockland. 5/5 stars with out a doubt.They are extremely busy during lunch time which is when I usually order and Its for good reasons, their menu is delicious and lots of people order from here. Every time I'm there pocking up my order, i always see people inside either ordering or picking up their orders. This is how you know the food is on point and they always make it fresh.Next door you got burger king and Wendy's which do not compare. Dynasty king has decent and fair prices and quality of their food is top notch. It's also a family owned business which I love to support opposed to franchise corporate unhealthy fast foods.The girls working there are polite and kind and the whole family as well. If you are debating to order take out from another town, consider driving extra 10-15 min and try this one. You wont regret it ?“

“I enjoyed all the food we ordered! Three different dishes ... sushi which was served toward the end of the dinner .. I think they forgot to make it!! We had chicken chow fun ... shrimp with a cream sauce along side of fried white meat chicken ... another dish with chicken, beef and shrimp in a brown sauce and white rice. The restaurant is very clean and the staff very friendly!! An enjoyable dinner ... we will return!! They had many take out orders also.“

“We were very pleased with the quality of the food. I had a 'blend' which were Eel Sushi Appetizer. Following with Spicy Eggplant Tofu and Sautéed sting beans with beef. Probably the most authentic Chinese entrees that we've had up around this area. It was nice to enjoy the meal in a quiet atmosphere with very attentive service. We plan on revisiting in the future“

“I had to deduct one star because my favorite Layl Shishi item is no longer on the menu. The VIP Cholent Plate (aka the Heimishe Sombrero) was truly a dish worthy of the VIP mantle. Cholent (bean or barley), potato kugel, kiskha, jachnun, eggs, Gedempte Fleish and two slices of garlic toast. Truly a way to end the workweek and rocket towards Shabbos.The poppers are still a strong contender tho - so I'll typically get those for my forschpeiz and get a sombrero elsewhere. Solid eating.“

“I’m originally from NYC (Manhattan/The Bronx) and after moving to Nyack 6 years ago, finding spots that even came close to what I was used to, was TOUGH! Until, I found this place. “My favorite place for Chinese food. I have been going here since I can remember as a little girl. I moved farther north and this is the only place I will order Chinese food from, I drive 30ish mins to pick up. My favorite rice is shrimp fried rice and vegetable fried. “I always order from your establishment. The food is delicious. However, tonight I ordered through beyond menu and placed and order to be delivered at 7pm. I called the restaurant around 730pm.. The woman that was there answered the phone and apologized saying” She never saw the order and the food will be made right away. I wound up showing up to pick up the food. The woman at the front counter was the same woman that answered the phone. She was beyond disgusting and rude to another customer. Telling this customer she didn’t pay and her card had to be charged. Then she starts talking to me and I showed her that I paid. She told me “I wasn’t talking to you.” I responded with “There is no reason for you to be nasty!” She responded with “ We are very busy.” Then a tall man proceeded to hand me the food I ordered. She said something me and once again I turned around and responded “Learn to talk to people, there is no reason for you to be nasty!” I walked out with the food.I do not care if there is a line out the door or you are busy. There is no reason for someone to disgustingly nasty and rude!“

“I've purchased twice from this place, both times have been absolutely delicious. I've recently moved here at the end of October and I'm glad to have a good Chinese Food restaurant so close to me.Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian section on the menu. My wife is a Pescatarian and she orders the Ma Po Tofu.“

“Pretty darn good. We have been finding it hard to find really crave-able chinese takeout in the Burbs. We have gone so far as making our own wonton soup with homemade wontons. No more! We ordered wonton soup, crab rangoon, and cashew chicken combo. The wonton soup was D-LICIOUS!! Their wontons have nice, thick wrappers and are filled nicely. I believe they hand make the wrappers, which is a great added bonus to the quality. I'm not a big crab rangoon lover, but my husband is. He raved about them. The dipping sauce was definitely on par. The cashew chicken was good. It lacked the crave-ability I really was looking for, but it was good. Egg roll was great. Pork fried rice was a little lackluster. I highly recommend adding it to your eating spots! I'm excited to try some of the other entrees.“

“Always drove by it and saw advertising in our local Clipper but never jumped in until a few days ago. Three Asians cuisine, Chinese, Japanese and Thai. Had dinner with my family, my daughter ordered shrimp fried rice, my wife had Mei fun noodles while I ordered the yellow curry tofu. We all also shared sushi rolls, sashimi and hand rolled sushi. My curry dish was amazing just as good as if I had it at a Thai only restaurant. My daughter said the best fried rice she’s had and the same with my wife’s noodle dish. Plenty of different dishes to choose from specially if your family can agree on a cuisine. The service was great and attentive and the atmosphere was nice and mellow.Vegetarian options: Tofu or just veggies can be substituted.“

“No.1 is our favorite Chinese spot. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about, but we've been getting takeout here for years and they have never disappointed us. We love the half fried chicken over fried rice which seems to be a No. 1 specialty. It's greasy and delicious.“

“Amazing food and super authentic! Ate here on Chinese New Year Eve because we were looking for a Chinese restaurant and we got in pretty late around 9 PM and they were still very happy to serve us. We ordered the “Happy Family” dish on the specials list consisting of chicken, roasted pork, shrimp and scallops served with a bowl of rice on the side and the sauce on the meat was so good! It included quite a bit of vegetables too which was really nice. We also ordered the meat dumplings and I HIGHLY recommend those because they taste so authentic like the dumplings my family makes! Even my boyfriend (who usually does not like Asian food lol) loved these dumplings so much and said he could eat probably 2 plates of them if he were hungrier. There are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu too, such as the stir fry tofu and vegetables, fried rice, noodles, vegetable dumplings and more. We only waited about 10 mins total for the food so it came super quick and we were very satisfied with the service. Will definitely be back here if in the area again!“

“this is a fine takeout Chinese place here in Croton. I've had better Chinese food, but I've had a lot worse too. The orders are right the food is good and consistently quality food. They don't tip you on the count with the meat or the shrimp. And the food is generally ready on time. It's a good all-around American Chinese takeout.“

The spare ribs, egg foo yung, rices & noodle dishes are tasty & fresh, however I find their food a little on the expensive side & forget it if you want it delivered...too many fees!
