I found Scratch Bakehouse through Syracuse Vegans on Facebook. I was so pleased with the freshness and tasty chickpea sandwich also the delicious vegan cookies. This will definitely be a regular place for my lunches. Excellent customer service. Theirs also an outside area to eat.

Best bread around. BUT. I drove down here on my day off just to find that thiee closed due to staffing. I understand but I just wished there was at least. A Facebook post saying their closed.

You can't go wrong. The cheese danishes are great and the pain au chocolat was incredible. We also got the olive polenta bread this time around; it didn't last past dinner and there was only two of us.

We choose to eat a healthier lifestyle, and the way The Scratch Bakehouse makes it's products suits our needs. The owner greeted us and was very helpful and informative about the goods. We purchased several pastries to try, and a loaf of bread. Everything was absolutely fantastic, and exceeded our expectations (the spanakopita is to die for). We will be frequenting The Scratch Bakehouse for all of our bakery items.

A local gem and source of the best local sourdough bread. The baker will come and talk to you about the breads on offer. They have the most delicious and fresh sourdough bread with various variants on offer. This little bakery is easy to drive by and not even notice it's there. Look for the larger liquor store next door to find this little gem.

The first thing I smelled walking into this place was stale cigarette smoke - not baked goods. In the 10 seconds it took me to decide that I'd never eat anything prepared here and walk back out, my coat already smelled like butts.
