The mango is fresh . Ordered a side of plantain ? yummy. All I had was one over cooked plantain, which my bf ate with salt. No waste, and the portion will last me 2 days.

This place is exquisite! I love how much the food has improved! It's one of the few places in Syracuse where you can eat good, clean food that tastes like Latin food. The place is always clean. Every time I go there are a lot of people and I think it's a testament to how delicious the food is. The girl who serves is very friendly. The place is always clean. During the winter, sitting to eat there is not very good because it is very cold. Sometimes I order food to be delivered to my work and my coworkers always order with me because they love the taste (they are all blonde gringas hehehe). Very good job by the Don Juan team! I hope the treatment and good food continue!!! 10/10

I ordered two empanadas, one pizza empanada and one beef empanada. when I first bit into the pizza empanada it was like a cup of hot cocoa on a freezing cold day, the cheese pull is insane and the crust had the perfect crunch. THEN I bit into the the beef empanada which was literally like heaven on earth, it was the perfect blend of beef, cheese and to my pleasant surprise potatoes. My brother makes the best enchiladas but I am not joking when I say these are the best empanadas I have ever tasted ever!!

The sandwiches are really good and the roasted pork and rice and beans are very tasty. There were several Cuban people at the hospital that I met that we’re getting food there almost every day because it was so good.

Five 5 stars all around! I’ve lived in the area for 3 years. In the past, i had tried many Latin based restaurants including this one. Nothing compared to the Caribbean/puerto rican/Dominican food you buy in NYC. I recently decided to give this place another shot! Whoa!! To my surprise the food tasted amazing! Great flavors, decent serving portions and fresh food. Unlike other restaurants, this place is immaculate. The cleanliness it’s visible from the moment you walk in. You can tell the staff works very hard to maintain the location clean and put together. The service is amazing! Everyone that works there seems nice and welcoming. The real star of the place are their chicken and cheese empanadas. As a Dominican i love my empanadas and no other place makes them this good. I continue to recommend this place to all my friends and colleagues. It’s a real gem. This place makes me feel like home. Thank you Don Juan!!!!!

InAUGUST I ordered over 150$ worth with ONLY TWO ORDERS same in SEPTEMBER by weekly LARGE MEALS x 2 plus empanads * I also TIP VERY WELL!*The LAST 2 times I've went..arroz Amarillo dry, flavorless, little to no taste.. That was last 10days. When YARAL left.. the FLAVOR LEFT n WENT WITH HER!. ( The server is a lovely young lady "A" n staff is pleasant as well. BUT we would like the FLAVORS we long for. If I've got to add Salzon, garlic, cilantro onion n red Goya in to rice. I may as well cook it at home myself no? Last 6empanadas had literally NO CHEESE. I ACTUALLY, ✂️ open n placed ? inside n then rewarmed them up. Ik times r hard but cilantro, garlic ,onions n salzon is REALLY IN EXPENSIVE. I go there bcuz THEY used to cook VERY SIMILAR to my homemade. Idn like " FAST FOOD" w/o LOVE n PASSION. Foods carry our passions n culture.. pls pls.. do something..
