“I have a LOT to say about my stay here at Crystal Brook Mountain Brauhaus Resort. I came here for a solo weekend getaway to explore the Catskills and I would absolutely return here every time. When I checked in with Wendy, I could tell my stay would be very welcoming. She was very friendly and informative as to what the resort offers and she even gave me suggestions for nearby hiking trails. The lounge area is neatly designed, with a piano and photos littered all over the walls. It almost feels as if you're in someone's home. Very cozy.When I got to my room I was a little surprised with how small it was, albeit being exactly what I wanted. This may not suit everyone, so just be sure you understand what you're paying for. It's a bit antiquated with a nice charm and simplicity to it. I had no problems with the setup (especially considering how clean it was) other than having to drink the water from the faucet. Wendy assured me that it was clean and that's the way it is there, and it tastes fine, but I want to just put that out there. The wifi can also be a bit spotty, which personally I didn't care because I was there to get away from it all. But for those of you who absolutely need a strong internet connection, bear that in mind, especially since cellular service can be limited in certain spots out in the mountains.There's a pool nearby available for use, alongside the fantastic Mountain Brauhaus restaurant and some small trails only a walk's distance away. Breakfast is provided every morning from 8 to 10 and the food is cooked per order. You can get as much as you want and best believe I took advantage of that . The food was very tasty and had different offerings each morning to keep it interesting.The restaurant (not included) is the primary dinner offering. It's German styling is wonderful and I really liked that the staff also wear German outfits. I had gotten one of the German beers, their special which was a Rouladen, and a Plum Cake for dessert. The beer was crisp and refreshing. The Rouladen and the Plum Cake were FANTASTIC and I cleaned my plate fully. Portions were very fair. Overall I absolutely loved my stay at Crystal Brook Resort. The only thing that threw me off was the drinking water situation and the iffy WiFi, but even that can be overlooked considering the cost to stay here. I think everything was affordable and proved to be worth every penny. Definitely going to return here when I come back to the Catskills.“

“Today we had a celebration of life after ceremony in the banquet room at Angel's. We chose our buffet menu from an extensive list of incredible food. We had guests attend from upstate and from Maine and we all agreed that the staff at Angel's not only prepared exquisite food but they were beyond helpful, kind, considerate and went the extra mile to create an atmosphere that allowed us laughter, memories shared, some tears, fellowship and absolutely full tummies. I can't speak highly enough for the service and food we received, Alfredo- thank you and your staff for everything. “In early May, my sister and I were passing through Windham and stopped for lunch at Chicken Run Family Restaurant and Steak House. We visited this place for the first time. Everything what we ordered was very tasty. I ordered sausages with a side dish, my sister ordered half a chicken with side dish. The sausages were amazing, the spices did not overwhelm the taste of the meat. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The French potatoes and vegetables were cooked to perfection. Coleslaw is very tasty and light. For dessert, my sister ordered apple pie, and I ordered strawberry milkshake. Everything was delicious.The inside of the establishment is very clean and cozy. The service staff is very good. Restroom is clean.I want to say thank you to the owners and employees of Chicken Run Family Restaurant and Steak House for your respect for people. I will recommend Chicken Run Family Restaurant and Steak House to all my friends and acquaintances.“

“Dont let the name mislead you. They do serve diner food but it is, imo, the best diner food I have ever had. I prepare my own meals. I dont like to go to restaurants because most dont prepare food I am satisfied with, taste or freshnessof ingredients. This place sets the bar higher for the other local restaurants. The food is very good, and Ive tried almost everything. The prices are reasonable. This is my favorite place to eat beside my own cooking. The owners, the staff all very nice people. Makes me feel like Im visiting family not a diner“

“Some of the best food I've ever had, great service from friendly staff, and a warming atmosphere to top it off.From the first appetizer, we instantly knew we made the right call coming here. Every dish that came out proceeded to top the one before it, eventually culminating with two of the daily specials that were great twists on more common dishes. Every dish was prepared to perfection, every ingredient tasted fresh, and the combination of ingredients on each plate greatly complimented each other. This is NOT your typical "Italian" restaurant where half of the dishes taste like tomato sauce, or everything is topped with cheese to mask the bland flavor of the meals.The staff here were incredibly nice, especially the manager. Everyone here was welcoming, made good conversation, and was attentive to customers. The restaurant itself was clean and simple, while still having scatterings of decor that give it character and personalization, like the dozens of miniature "Christmas Village" buildings tucked above the bar that find themselves at home any time of the year.An easy 5/5, and if I could rate it any higher, I would. “What a fantastic restaurant. I can honestly say this is the best restaurant that I have ever eaten, in the Catskills. The menu had many seafood options, which I have to admit made me nervous. The tuna was off the wall Great! The table next to us had oysters which looked great. Our other dish was chicken which was cooked perfectly and very large. And I can’t forget to mention the cocktails. Great service with great service.“

“First time! Ordered the steak and ribs to go because I was on my way home from work and didn't feel like cooking. They were very accommodating due to it was not yet 4. Because I had to reheat when I got home I asked for the steak to be rare and the ribs to not be hot. The mashed were delicious and the fries were seasoned perfectly. Asparagus was crisp and all reheated perfectly without losing any quality. It was a great experience and the bartender was more than accommodating. Will definitely go there for a sit down!“
