We stopped here to visit the college. Graduated here many, many, many years. Rathskeller had the best burgers. This time tried the turkey burger. It was cooked just right. Added all the trimming and Monterey Jack cheese. It was delicious! Had curly fries. They were hot and not too salty. Great place!

Considering you can use your student meal plan to eat here, it's pretty great. Much better than the usual stuff found in the dining halls. The Rathskeller is open late and sells sandwiches, burgers, and pizza, all of which are ideal for a midnight snack. Staff is friendly as well.
I love the newly revamped Rathskellar in the Rensselaer Union. It's a shame they didn't get it finished until after I graduated, but I still have had the opportunity of eating there during my campus visits. The added bonus now is that they take credit card which I don't think they did before they did renovations. In the Rathskellar you have options of deli sandwiches, burgers, pizza, wraps, chicken patties, and other such treats. They were having a special when I was there which I insisted on trying: cucumber tabouleh humus wrap. I thought it was quite delicious. When you eat here now, you have the options of a bar, tables, and circular booths for seating. There are televisions which are usually playing news or sports. Check it out if you're in the area. I'm sure it's almost your second home if you go to RPI. ;-)
