“We are huge fans of Peter Kelly's, but the little things need to be improved. We've gone to Kelly's places since the 90's, and are big believers, and X2O's lunch used to be the best buy in town. Like everything else the price has climbed, and it is no longer a great bargain, but it is still worth every penny at $36. The lunch menu has expanded, and even though we miss the risottos, the selection is ample, and the specials are terrific. What caused the rating to drop from five to four stars are two simple but vital things - the bread, which used to be a highlight, was very mediocre, and the coffee was weak, unusual for X2O. The food was spectacular, but the little things need to return to their usual high level.“

My husband and I are frequent weekend guests at The Tasty Table because we like the food and the way we are treated as guests. I've noticed some less than positive reviews focused on difficulties getting a table during their busiest weekend times. This should indicate to all who are interested in going to The Tasty Table of how wonderful a restaurant it is. My suggestion is to take advantage of the 30 minute call aheads that are offered. You won't be disappointed!“

“I just stopped for lunch. Not from the area and never heard of this place. I work construction all over Connecticut. We were working right down the street. Being pressed for time I decided to stop. I ordered a burger and fries to go. Within 10 minutes I was walking out the door. Food in hand. And I have to say for the same price as a meal deal from McDonald’s I had one of if not the BEST burger ever!! This place is awesome!! I will be back!“

“This is my second time eating at Southern Kitchen and bar with my partner, our grandson, and his father.  It's a very nice place, a great atmosphere  spacious, clean, friendly, diverse, and family oriented. There's outdoor dining and free parking. The staff was very tentative, and our servers, Lauren and Kyle, were awesome. They menu gave you plenty of ordering options.  It was hard to decide what I wanted to eat, especially when I saw other people's orders passing me buy.  I didn't wait too long for the food.  When the food arrived, it was served steaming hot and tasty. If you dont want to sit and eat a meal, you can sit at the full bar and have a cold beverage.  I recommend you give this place a visit. We already made plans to come back!Parking: There is Plenty of free parking, spacious lot.“

“The moment you walk through the door, the smell is captivating. It's lures you to the wonderful cashiers who always have a wonderful smile on their face. I never see them miserable, such inviting workers, and they know their regulars.I usually have their Sticky Bun and Chocolate Swirl. The sticky bun flavor profile is breathtaking, the bread is tender and sweet, the glaze on top is amazing, and I couldn't have asked for a better pastry to start my morning. The chocolate swirl is just as good. The flaky bread and smoothness of the chocolate add a really nice feel for the pastry. I believe there is cream inside, too. If I could ask a question, I'd ask if they added cream and what kind? It's just that good!Parking: On the side of the building I believe there is parking as well in front of the store.“

I had the Pecan Crusted Salmon Baked Topped with Honey Glazed Pecans served with Caramelized Yams & Collard Greens. So good. The collards had a kick which was a surprise delicious. Our soft drink was the Carolina Sunrise Punch delicious, seriously. The biscuits and cornbread muffins again delicious. My granddaughter had fried chicken wings with French fries and a vegetable from the youngins menu she was well pleased. The server was warm and friendly lie everyone there. The ambiance was delightful with live entertainment. The drive was worth it and made my birthday a true delight. I can't wait to go again. The area is quaint and quiet.“

“This was our second time dining at Jewel of Himalaya and it did not disappoint. Our party of 4 ordered 3 appetizers, 4 entrees and had a collective total of 6 beverages and the total bill was under $200 - very reasonable for a Saturday night out $100 per couple. The restaurant is lovely aesthetically, and the night we dined there was a fabulous guitar player that just sealed the vibe. The only reason I took a point off for ambiance was that we were sat inside at the tall floor to ceiling windows that leaked rain as it was pouring outside. Our hosts were aware and of course were kind and accommodating (it wasn't so bad that we had to move but enough that they came over to ask if we were disturbed) — a leak in the ceiling is a leak in the ceiling, so I couldn't give a 5 for this particular meal's ambiance but it would not remotely deter me from going there again.“

“Arriving at 6:00 on a Saturday evening without reservations, my companion and I were delighted to be seated at a small booth in the bar area. Great seating, as it was comfortable and felt private. We each enjoyed a special cocktail, and appetizers of delicious cauliflower and truffle pizza and popcorn shrimp (complete with tiny crumbles of popcorn!) We then really enjoyed the chicken pot pie and cucumber and broccoli entre salad. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices were very reasonable. Very fine experience. “This little pizzeria has the cutest little front. It's across the street from the library and it has little seats outside. You could sit and have a nice cuppa coffee or slice of pizza. Lunch tray is consist of small plates priced around $50, which sounds a bit pricey for the portions, but I assume the ingredients are fresh and high quality. When I went there, the lunch menu was some pickles, cured meat, taco and bread - everything was sour - even the dessert looking cake was sour. Balance of the meal was a bit disappointing, so got a small apple for $2, which was soggy and bruised inside, but I liked their coffee.It is a beautiful place for a getaway from the city - an hour drive from Manhattan. The lunch tray could be hit or miss since they only offer one set menu, which you don’t know until you get there, but they have pretty outdoor tables surrounded by nice garden.
