“I spent 36 years working at Indian Point, and Trail's End was always a great little deli/grocery. Very good sandwiches, and very nice friendly people too. I hope they don't take a hit with Indian Point's closure.”

“Here is the easiest way to describe this place. STRAIGHT UP HOMEMADE ITALIAN FOOD! This is 5-STAR Italian deliciousness! I was last here about 20 years ago but to be honest, like most, I have zero reason to ever be in Verplanck. This evening I was down there and made the immediate decision to dine-in the second I saw their big sign on Broadway. The place looks basically the same as I remember, very neat, clean and of course with a stellar menu. I observed Carmine (at the bar) preparing some amazing looking cocktails! Great service, well priced, friendly staff and great dishes! One thing I want to point out is how the first forkful of my cold antipasto salad appetizer immediately tasted soooo different. I wasn't expecting fresh, 'sharp' provolone -- no sliced ham here kids. Tonight was an unexpected treat! I will again grab my passport and cross the border into Westchester to spend more time here! Mangia!”

“Great tasting and consistent pizza for people who like a softer slices. I like most styles of pizza, and this is the best place for a soft and cheesy! Pretty good ingredients; I've never felt something wasn't fresh or stale. As for their other foods, their portions are a little smaller than other places in the area, still great food nonetheless but I mainly go just for the pizza. Great service and overall great place!”

“This is a really charming Indian restaurant! The server was really friendly, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was casual and charming, and the parking was super convenient. The masala dosa, aloo gobi, and rice pudding were really good. I'll definitely be returning here and certainly recommend stopping by for some tasty food.”

“I had originally tried the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich that a coworker brought me and was completely blown away by how good it was. I recently drove from Rockland to get this sandwich with my girlfriend and found out it was actually a seasonal menu item. I opted to try the Thai Fried chicken sandwich and the Green Goddess Chicken Salad BLT instead and both were equally as fantastic as the Buffalo. I would easily try other things on their menu because I know how good it will probably be considering everything I have tried. The Banana Pudding was phenomenal as well. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area or are looking for a reason to go explore and try something new. Please bring back the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever tried!”

“Went here with my family. I don’t even know where to start first the owner and workers greeted us as soon as we stepped in the door. They gave us samples without even asking us hospitality is just top-tier. I’ve never been to a place like this before With such great customer service . “My daughter celebrated her 9th Birthday she had a blast. She loves being in the kitchen. Susan and the girls are very nice and helpful. They kept the kids engaged with different activities. It was very pleasant and Susan is a great, humbled person. During our interactions she listened and always kept the kids in mind.”

“I came across this place looking for a little Caesars. I went and ordered my pizza and couldn’t resist going inside this Colombian restaurant. I could smell it from other side of parking lot. After I tasted just the bread I regretted ordering from little Caesar’s… the food was incredibly delicious. The staff were so warm and friendly!!! if in the area it’s a must have! My husband and I are frequent weekend guests at The Tasty Table because we like the food and the way we are treated as guests. I've noticed some less than positive reviews focused on difficulties getting a table during their busiest weekend times. This should indicate to all who are interested in going to The Tasty Table of how wonderful a restaurant it is. My suggestion is to take advantage of the 30 minute call aheads that are offered. You won't be disappointed!”

“Having just relocated to the area, First Village Coffee is the community hub I have been seeking. Often walking into a coffee shop for the first time can feel daunting, but I received a genuinely warm welcome (and farewell) from multiple staff members, which immediately made we feel like staying for a while. I noticed how the owner engaged with regulars and newcomers with equal interest and regard, which was a pleasant change from places that choose not to focus on building relationships with their clientele. The cro-muffin was delicious, soft in the middle with a crunch from the crystallized sugar on the outside, and my rose-cardamom latte was hand-delivered with care. “I just had brain surgery and I am on a very delicate combination of medications that affect my stomach. At the same time, getting some kind of highly nutritious food is really important for my recovery. My taste buds can’t handle anything too extreme but I still want to eat something delicious. Well let me tell you that I have been living off of Signal Fire Bread and it is doing wonders! When I can’t eat too much it sustains me and I also think it has really helped to rev back up my appetite. Truly whether or not you get brain surgery, I recommend Signal Fire for the tastiest, most nutritious and sustainably made local bread.”

Place had an amazing earthy vibe to it, rare to visit a place that speaks to your soul as this one does. Being a deadhead and hearing old school Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead on the speakers brought a smile to my face. Isaac who owns the place, relocated from Brooklyn, NY and will engage you about the area and fun things to do. “WOWThis was a huge surprise. I was visiting a customer in Peekskill New York, and pulled over to grab a small bite to eat from a food truck. I pulled into the lot and noticed there was a big line. When I got on line there were a lot of regulars talking about what they were going to order. I asked one of them what they would recommend, and they said you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. They were so right.I got an order of taco's. You got to pick any three taco's you wanted. and the order came with hand cut fries, and this amazing lime aioli. I had a chorizo, fish, and chicken taco. They might have been the best I ever had. After I finished I had to tell the owner how great the food was. He happened to be the nicest guy, and was truly happy to hear that I thoroughly enjoyed his food. He makes all of his food fresh daily, and makes his own chorizo.I went home that night, and told my son about the truck. That weekend I stopped by again, this time with my son and his fiance. Octavio remembered me right away. We ordered a braised short rib grill cheese on Texas toast, a Cuban sandwich that he made with his own smoked pulled pork, and his home made empanada's. All three of us were amazed with his food.My son was getting married in three weeks, and we had rented an Airbnb for the weekend, and were throwing a rehearsal dinner for about 40 people the night before the wedding. We had already planned on having it catered, but my son mentioned why don't we do something different, and see if Octavio would bring his food truck to the Airbnb instead of using a caterer. It wound up being fantastic. We spoke with Octavio, and picked five items off the menu to serve that night. Everyone at the party raved about the food, and Octavio surprised us at the end by serving his home made caramel stuffed churro's with chocolate sauce.If you love great food, you must give him a visit...”
