Don't miss Wappingers Falls' top Mexican restaurants, as recommended by Restaurantji.
“I've been wanting to try Casa Ortega for quite some time. Well, I have to say I was not disappointed. I had Chicharron DeCalmari as an appetizer, I couldn't stop eating those tender, delicious calamari. For dinner I had Camarones(shrimp tacos with pineapple) WOW! Paired with a delicious margarita and I'm hooked! The service was great, Irving was terrific! The restaurant is bright and clean, family friendly atmosphere Highly recommend!!“
“So yes, we LOVE Mexican food!! We try a lot of different Mexican restaurants... this one was good, but have had better. The Queso was a little different than we expected and rice didn't seem to have as much flavor as others I've tried but everyone has their days. I did like that you got rice with tacos though. The place was nice, a bit tight, but still a great atmosphere and feel. It was a bit busy so service was a bit slow.“
“My wife and I had Flores cater our wedding in October. We had the best food experience with the Flores team. We absolutely feel in love with the menu at our tasting and the food at our wedding was cooked to perfection. We got married at Locust Grove, which has a full kitchen setup. Our guest raved about the food for weeks! (We’re still hearing about it from friends and family). The beef tenderloin was fantastic, our guests raved about how perfect it was cooked, a true feat especially when prepared in mass (150 guests). Everyone loved the chicken empanadas, the mojo chicken, the charcuterie cones, and the tuna tartar. We opted for a vegetarian pállela for our vegan/vegetarian friends and it was a hit. The deal was sealed when everyone lined up for seconds of dessert, Flan and Ice Cream. The staff was also exceptional and we want to shout out Melissa and Danielle for making it the best day of our lives. Thank you Austin for making it the best meal for us and our guests. We highly recommend going with Flores for your wedding our other events.“
“Very friendly staff. My server was very attentive & friendly. Bartender was good. Margaritas on the rocks are ok (too many rocks for me). His Patron cosmo is fire!!! Food is a good size portion and very flavorful. Will stop by again the next time I pass through.“
“Awesome tacos! It's been a while since I felt I've been to a sit down restaurant with great taste and great value but Villa Picante Tacos is truly a hidden gem. Homemade chips and salsa to start was a great sign. These chips were still piping hot but not greasy when they reached the table and best of all, complimentary. Each taco entree were 4 to an order and every plate was yum! Birria, Bistec, Carnitas, and Shrimp, were all so delicious. The carnitas, bistec, and birria meat was all melty tender. The shrimp tacos were fresh and crisp. Homemade tortilla taco shell were lightly fried for an added crunch. Who doesn't like anything fried!? There was a slight language barrier with service staff but it was not difficult to overcome instead I took that as a great sign of authenticity. Service was attentive and quick for a made to order meal. I'd definitely be back sooner if I lived closer!“
