City Cellar is a great place for a casual dinner or date night dinner. Ambiance is nice and service is attentive. We’ve been coming here over 10 years and dined many occasions. When we went a few days ago they changed the menu and got rid of New York Strip angus steak. We were disappointed so ordered something new.Our favorite is Truffled Mac and cheese with lobster. So much lobster meat! It’s hot and cheesy until your last bite.Honey sriracha chicken wing is another winner. Spicy, sweet and portion is huge. They used to have many other great salad options but keep changing their menu. I tried poke bowl but won’t order again. Stay with basic salad and that will be much better. All of their desserts are good. We tried almost everything and all good!

Years ago this was place was 5 stars. Nowadays, more like 1 star. Food is flavorless, service terrible as well as the last few times (could be this new generation??). The only good thing from this restaurant is the drinks and the ambience, thats about it. If you enjoy eating bland food, this is your place to eat, otherwise save your money and time, you thank me later.

The waitress made me wait too long to order 2nd drink....If she got more come to my table, I definitely gave them a 5 stars. This time was my friend birthday so I don't want to disturb the party.. Just waited until she noticed me...And if this isn't my friend birthday I gave her very small tip...2nd time visited here, and I still like the place ?

Hated it. WORST place ever. Found hair in my food, FLIES buzzing all around us, tables are sticky, dirty glassware on the tables. So horrendous and gross. Manager Matthew was so stuffy and rude, didn’t care at all. My cocktail was watered down, tasted cheap. Literally horrible from start to finish. Filthy rap playing in what is supposed to be a wine cellar. Ridiculous and poorly managed. Don’t go here, much better restaurants at this price point.

Had reservations for Valentine’s Day evening. Arrived for our time and was told to follow the waitress, and while doing so was rudely cut off and almost knocked into by waiters in a rush. We walked through the romantic dimly lit area, only to be brought into the back party room that was brightly lit and looked like a high school gym prom setup. A bit disappointed that we were seated in the back. On top of all of that the food lacked flavor. It’s so strange because this was the complete opposite experience we’ve had in the past. Not sure what changed but it left a bad taste in our mouths and wont be returning.

Second time around going to City Cellar and food is amazing. Justin the waiter served twice already and his attention to us is always point. Will definitely recommend to friends and family! Love their calamari by the way!

The food, as usual, was very good. On this day, the food was unusually good. Not sure why, but nice work. Our server Allen E. was excellent. He serviced way too many tables that day, but he was still attentive and got the order correct. He apologized for the wait ( not necessary as everyone saw the poor guy running around like crazy). All the servers are very nice and very good, but we have our favorite servers (Elizabeth, Gabriella, & Brie) and will add Allen to that list.

Waiter didn't give us a wine menu until we asked for it. Not good for a restaurant named for wine. Our main courses came while we were still eating our appetizers. Food runner dropped the mains and we didn't see the waiter again for a while. Very disappointing. Had to ask for more bread 3 different people. The rice dish on my wife's Halibut was totally under seasoned. Apparently no one tasted it before service started. Lastly ordered desserts (carrot cake was excellent) and didn't get utensils until we requested them. The restaurant is beautiful but not sure if I'm going back.

I sent a colleague who was staying near by and he was shocked as he ordered a bourbon on the rocks and had 3 before he realized that they charge for the rocks - who does that ????

I used to love this restaurant but it's really gone downhill in the last few years. I went on Valentine's Day for dinner. Initial service and appetizers were okay. I asked for butter for the bread and was told they didn't have any. Really? No butter in the entire kitchen? The entree I originally ordered was unavailable and I was not notified for about 15 minutes. I ended up going with the scallops and shrimp dish. The presentation was awful. Scallops weren't even whole. Everything was overly salty and just not great. I ended up getting a salad as a replacement and it was mediocre at best. Dessert was okay. I ordered a coffee which the waiter spilled on the table. He also dropped the check off without us asking for it, seemed like he was rushing us out despite there being plenty of open tables. Overall for the price point it's just not worth it and I won't be returning.

We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, however we had a reservation and still had to wait to be seated. Then when we were finally seated, we sat essentially on top of other people as no booths were available. Would not go back on a busy day again.
