“One of the absolute best vegan and vegetarian restaurants on Long Island! I have been trying to go for a long time due to the raving reviews on Facebook and last night was my first chance to try it. Erin the owner was a delight! She constantly checked on us which I appreciated. Next, I want to speak about the food! There was an array of options, which made me want to try everything! I ended up choosing the shrimp roll for an app. It was fried to perfection and had a very similar texture and taste to shrimp. My cousin ordered the scallion pancake which was also delicious. For our entree, I ordered the coconut sticky rice with mango pieces and pineapple boba that floored us! I also ordered the chicken drumsticks and was in love. Finally my cousin ordered the general tso chicken which she enjoyed as well. All this delicious food for only $50 felt like a steal! We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu. We also ran into the sweetest couple while there and had wonderful conversations about veganism. 100/10 experience!“

“Went here for my Anniversary, they gave us dessert on the house for our Anniversary. I have been eating Chinese Food since I had teeth and could chew, this is by far the best Chinese Food I've ever eaten, Staff was very friendly and accommodating, will definitely be back. Whatever the Chefs get paid, they deserve more. Amazing, go here, you won't regret it.“

“The food was amazing. I drove all the way to Queens to go back there. I worked at the urgent care and I just decided to try this food out while I was at work and then I fell in love and they got the glass bottle sprite that taste amazing. I would definitely go back there when I get a chance. I wish there was something to just as good as that restaurant in the quality of the food was prepared just as good and queens. I hope I can find a place like that, but regardless, it’s worth going all the way out there just to get the food. Because I am more than satisfied with how it taste.Parking: A nighttime there’s parking I don’t know about the daytime. I mean, you could park a few blocks away in a parking lot and then walk towards it.“

“OK, so this is my first time here because I googled the best Chinese and eastern Nassau so I decided to come here and lo and behold. I ordered a beef egg foo young large vegetable fried rice two pan, fried dumplings, three spring rolls and an order of general tso chicken. I was upset about the total of $74 but I understand inflation blah blah blah but when I actually opened up my food and realize that the chicken that they charge me $17 for 10 pieces of chicken with broccoli underneath, I was so angry and just for that, I’ll never go back here No, other place on Long Island does it?“

“I have been stalking thier Google reviews and pics for years but could never bring myself to spend that kind of money for one meal. Now let's get down to the truth... I pulled the trigger and it was money well spent. I have never tasted anything so tender and perfectly seasoned hood to under carriage. The flavors penetrated throughout the whole duck and flavor profile is.... just good; it works. Order extra baos if you have bigger family. I added 2 sides of baos, but one extra bao order was good for our family of 5. I was not a fan of the ckn and beef dumplings, the addition of corn takes away from it for me. Veggie dumplings were good.“

“i have a gluten allergy. i mentioned it before ordering and Annie B was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the menu items which contain gluten. Sometimes navigating a menu for gluten free items is a struggle, but it was so refreshing to be kindly guided by Annie.Dietary restrictions: good gluten free options! they even told me they use different pans for gluten free meals. great for avoiding cross contamination“

“One of the friendliest places I have been too. I am a vegetarian and they took time to explain what was vegetarian. The service is surpassed only by the food. I surely recommend to try the place once. The soup is something I loved the most. The Schechuan dumplings were excellent too among other items.Vegetarian options: See my comments. We are vegetarian and liked the food and service.“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“Great atmosphere and service, and the food is decent. The only problem I had with the food was the container that contained my general tso chicken had too much extra sauce in the container, The chicken is fine the way it is, I didn't need the extra sauce there.“

“A huge Thank You, to John La Rossa and his team at the Commack, NY location. John and his team donated a large amount of amazing food to all of the nurses for Nurses Week. The food was abundant, fresh, hot, and most importantly, absolutely Delicious!!! We can't thank you enough for all that you did in support of local nurses. We will for sure, be return customers, for all of our takeout needs from now on. Best Chinese food around, hands down. Well Done MOGU!!!!“

“I was really impressed. When I was told I wad being taken to a thai restaurant, I expected the usual indian curry fusion most Thai places offer. I began getting disappointed as I reviewed the menu, not understanding what spices it would contain or look like.Once I told our happy waitress that it was my first time, she was so glad to assist. I saw other patrons dinners and the couple at the table next to us made recommendations too.Though I didnt get photos of everything before we devoured it, I must say this is a GEM! Fresh, tasty and more than what the menu states. Dont be afraid if it says beef and noodles. You'll get a tastier mix than that. The stinky tofu was a flavor not average for Americans but there was so much it is a meal in itself! Definitely a partner needed to share.Chicken wad tender, so was the beef. We will be back“

“Phenomenal food bursting with flavor. Excellent ambience with fun cocktails. The service was fantastic as well. The black truffle soup dumplings and Mr & Mrs Smith apps were to die for. The roast duck entree was succulent and perfectly cooked. A half order was plenty for 2 people. I loved the Dan Dan noodles as they were spicy while still having tons of flavor. That's a delicate balance that was executed perfectly. This is a 10/10, repeat visit, add it to the rotation type of place.“

“Sooooo good! Finally! A great, consistent Chinese take out - with kind customer service too!! We've been several times now and everything is good!! Order your favorite dish - I promise it will be best you've had in a long time. My husband likes shrimp with lobster sauce. Everyone makes it so watery now and no flavor. Not Asian House. Nice thick flavorful sauce and big fresh shrimp! Crab Rangoon is light and fresh and lots of filling. Great wings! Love the moo shu pork. Sesame chicken is never dry like others. Always fresh and delicious and handed to you with a smile and genuine appreciation.“

“I'm an avid sushi lover and always like trying new places. This was my first time at MoCA. The ambience and decor were nice. I love the design of the seating area and bar. Booths were super spacious and comfortable. My husband and I ordered 2 appetizers (Mini Rolls and Indian Pancakes) and 2 specialty rolls (American Dream Roll and Baja Roll). Everything was delicious, just wish the rolls were a little bigger. Definitely on the smaller side compared to tons of other sushi restaurants I've been too. Honestly, we were still hungry after that. So order more than you think. We were going to order the Mille (Green Tea) Crêpe Cake but they ran out for the night. Looked really promising though. For cocktails I first ordered a margarita and I feel bad saying this but, it was one of the worst margaritas I've ever had and my husband agreed. It didn't taste anything like a margarita, and it was sour and just weird. However, the waitress was nice enough to switch out my drink and I ended up ordering a Jalapeño Mango Martini instead, which was delicious. Overall everything was good just wish the sushi had a bigger serving.“

“We catered a great lunch for 15 which included Gen Tso Chicken, chicken with mixed. Veggies, beef lo mein, fried rice , egg rolls and spare ribs- everyone loved it! The ingredients were so fresh, very high quality meats and they were cooked perfectly. It was less than $20 pp and so much leftover that they all took some home. I very highly recommend Ming’s!“

“Delicious. Definitely a step above regular Chinese takeout! We got our standards - General Tso's - broccoli was super fresh, texture of the chicken was just the right amount of crispy; Chicken Lo Mein - tender and great flavor; and pork dumplings - sauces were not what I'm used to but definitely good. Also got the cucumber salad which was amazing. Also came in a good bag - it's cute and heavy enough to use again ;)“

The owners are super nice and are neighborhood locals. Portions are always big, and everything we order is always delicious. Cash Only.. but it's so worth the little hassle to have cash on hand!“

“Delicious food. I got their General Tso's Chicken special combo, which is with pork fried rice (Chef's special is with white rice) and cold sesame noodles. My preference for General Tso's Chicken consists of a crunchier texture with thick sauce. Kai's delivered just that and their pork fried rice was also yummy. The cold sesame noodles were topped with carrots, bean sprouts, and I believe snow peas. There was sesame sauce and another sauce towards the bottom. I mixed it before eating and it was the perfect amount. It has a peanut-like taste, which I expected before ordering, as I have had cold sesame noodles elsewhere. I would definitely come here again. The reviews for this restaurant regarding the taste of their food is spot-on, despite not being so recent. **Note**: This is a takeout restaurant so do not expect to sit down. They have two chairs for you to sit and wait once you arrive but that is all. I ordered to eat at home via their online ordering system, which does not require you to make an account, but you need to either pay cash or credit in-person with a minimum of $15 for credit.“

“General Tso Chicken - 9.5/10. Crispy, light sauce, not too sweet, not much corn starch which made the sauce liquidity and bottom chicken soggy. Still very delicious.Curry chicken. 10/10. Superb cooking technique, chicken very tender, veggies blanched just right. Flawless execution. Must order.Beef with garlic sauce 9.5/10. Beef very tender, cooking technique very well. Broccoli slightly over blanched, but still crunchy, rest of veggies cooked well. The negative 1/2 pt is for too much red food coloring dye, it’s a bit too much. This place rates a solid 4.8/5.0. Very impressed and wish it was closer. 25 min drive away.“
“Recently moved into the area. Having been trying to find a Chinese place with edible food. This must be the fifth place we tried. I wish it was the first. The food is tasty, and the restaurant is clean. Will be my go-to Chinese food from now on. Now, if I could just find a solid bagel place and pizzeria in the area, I'd be set.“

“First time going here, walked in and placed a decent sized order ($110.00) and was told 40 minutes. On the expensive side and long side of wait times for Chinese food, but ok. Wound up waiting 57 minutes for food to come out. They seem to need more help. All that being said, all the food that we ordered was fresh and delicious. On the expensive side for the portion size, but I would definitely go back as well as recommend this place.“

“Hoo Won is tucked into a small strip center on Woodbury Rd Close to Woodbury Country Deli. Not the best retail spot but a great location for all the local residents a good ways north of Jericho Tok - an east y place to pull in and grab and go with takeout. Food is always fresh. What we love about this place is the courteous people that are always a pleasure to order from. Ten years ago they returned $100 to my best friends son when he went back in to order - not knowing he had dropped a bill there a day or so before. That's the kind of old fashioned kindly business people that are there. Egg rolls are crispy, fresh duck sauce available - popular choices are shrimp with broccoli - and other variations with vegetables. Wonton Soups a little plain but fresh. Overall reliable takeout.“

“This is the place you are looking for if it's eggrolls, lo mein, fried rice, spare ribs, orange/sesame chicken and the like. Everything I've had off their menu is always on point. Order's never wrong, either. They are not cheap, but who is right now? The fact that the food is this good and it's always the same level of quality to a very high degree makes the price is worth it...for now. I can't say the same if their prices keep going up or the quality goes down even a little, they are unfortunately at a tipping point. It's a little hard to justify 50 to 60 dollars for two adults and two young kids to get not a ton of stuff.Parking: Average sized lot, if busy there are adjacent lots too.“
“It was okay just think they need to season the meats and seafood a bit more. Chicken was a bit tough. But filet mignon was good. Wings are soso. Shrimp tempura was okay not worth it .the mango lemonade was very good. The soup was awesome ?.“

“I never got past the order on the phone. I wanted to know how much an item was because the site I was on gave a price without mentioning if it was a pint or quart. She told me I had to go to their website, when I asked her to just tell me the price she put me on hold for several minutes. Apparently I agitated her. Considering that not all people are tech savvy , besides the point that she was just plain rude, I decided not to order from here. Obviously they don't need business that bad that they have to be nice to customers .“

“My family and I take out here for lunch a lot. Delicious food and reasonable pricing. There's a 7 days a week lunch special between 11 am. and 3 pm. We love to get their fried chicken wings, fried rice, wonton soup, and chicken & broccoli. The people running the kitchen are nice and every visit has been a nice experience. We mostly take out since there aren't many tables, but we don't mind.“
“Wah-Wah is my go to spot. Cam (owner) is a light- always smiling and happy to see us. My fave dish is not on the menu (broccoli with black bean sauce) and I usually pair it with spare ribs and some veggie fried rice. The cold sesame noodles (ask for extra spicy extra scallion) also delicious.“

“Golden Star Chinese is an absolute gem tucked away in the bustling streets of Dix Hills. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in the aroma of authentic Chinese cuisine. But let's talk about those egg rolls, they're simply divine! Andrews eggrolls just taste so good in my mouth. Crispy on the outside, bursting with flavorful fillings on the inside, each bite is a symphony of taste and texture. And Andrew Lin, the epitome of excellent service, adds an extra layer of warmth to the dining experience with his attentive and friendly demeanor and cute smile. His recommendations elevate the meal to a whole new level of enjoyment. The ambiance is cozy, inviting patrons to linger and savor every mouthful. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, Golden Star Chinese never fails to impress. It's more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary sanctuary where every dish tells a story of tradition and passion.“

“TLDR: 4.75/5.Beef with Garlic sauce 5/5 - custom order mild. It really was mild spice. Not much corn starch which is great. A lot of beef slices. Flavor overall is very good. My kids devoured all of it. So far it’s the best tasting near us.Chicken with Curry - 4.75/5. Not much cornstarch which also is great. Just needs slightly more curry, not spicy enough. Chicken is cooked perfectly, very tender.Gen Tso chicken - To be fair, this is takeout with 20 min drive so it’s not going to be crispy. 4.75 for slight crispy. Flavor is 5/5. Not much cornstarch. Just right about of sugar, not overpowering sweet. What surprises me, this is spicy in a very good way. Gen Tso chicken is usually just sweet with no spice. This has an aftertaste spice kick. Great flavor. Looking forward what it taste like fresh out of the frier.Service is great, very pleasant with the owner manning the front. There’s a lot of wholesale products stashed in the front, space is a premium but understandable considering how busy this place is on a Wed 11:45am. Customers keep coming in and out. Very promising as a first time customer visiting this place. Reviews and the flavors justify this place.Although this place is far at 20-25mins away, it’s worth the long drive.“

“Clean establishment, culturally professional, and the food, in my opinion, is the best that I have had in the Lindenhurst area, which I will admit to had only tried 4 others. I am from the Bx & Bklyn & the food I feel will never match. We had the general tos chicken & their fried rice was on point. The rice was not dry but was perfectly fluffy. The chicken wings were also perfect, as they had enough flavor & tiny, as chicken wings should be. Overall, I give an 8 out of 10 for my experience. Also, I do not think the workers are rude. They are just not sociable. They focus on getting ppl their food & in/ out.Parking: The street parking is decent. There is parking on the side and back, which is for all the shops connected. The area is safe in my opinion, as it is on a busy main street, across from a Bank, CVS, Elementary school.“
