Out of date, washed up and in need of some change. Their food is a hit or miss. The garnish used on some dishes are so unlatching and out of style you'd think you're being served in the 70's. Been here before, know what to expect and will be back again because it's not THAT bad, and it's definitely not THAT good either. It's just something to walk in and not have high expectations. Their portions are large, but so not worth the price. Stay FAR away from their Jumbo Bagel. It is t jumbo, and it comes on a desolate plate with a big square of fake cream cheese that YOU have to spread. It was SUCH an eyesore. But it's a diner. Go for the breakfast 100%!

I hadn't been back in a few years, but I stopped in twice recently. the footprint has been reduced, but the menu still features all the items that make NY diners great.there is a new young lady waiting tables on the weekday morning shift. She is a delight.

Been a customer with them for a long time and there changing for the worse. Food is getting expensive, they don't have many selections, and owners (except Helen) aren't so nice. It's sucks because the waitstaff are friendly and enjoy chatting with you. Now that I read Jose Che's review of them about his ESD, I will not be going back there anymore. And neither ordering. I'm a huge animal lover and it's against the law for this restaurant to refuse a person with a ESA!!! SHAME ON YOU ALL!!!
We had a quick late dinner - arriving at 8p ( they close at 9p). The salads are pretty good here - nice portions, fresh ingredients...cobb salad and side of dolmas- very good! The burger was just as ordered - perfectly crisp bacon....the onion rings were so crunchy and delicious! The coffee was nice and strong too! Federal law go above your policies. I have been in Whitestone for 20 years and eaten there for many years never a problem. Today I walked in with my E.S.A. dog and was told that i wouldn't be able come in with my service dog .After I explained that's illegal for them denied service then I was asked to put my dog in a courier. They all are missing the piont of having a E.S.A. I'll never go back there again what a shame
