“Clean. Fresh. Good. You walk in and you are greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable manager. He knows the menu backwards and forwards and has great suggestions. They have a great setup for all the ingredients and the food is prepared quickly and expertly. Love the seating area. Good for 1-4 people. More would be challenging. Good prices, as well.”

“I’ve been eating at The Chateau since childhood. The creators of the Mish Chopped Salad. The friendly atmosphere, the comfort food, those great soups, everything is delicious and fresh. I love the dinners too. Good old fashioned food and service.”

“What an amazing place. The view from the deck is amazing. Away from neighbors so noise is never an issue. Party room is amazing and is updated almost yearly. The bar just feels like home and is very comfortable. The docks are all new and the slips are beautifully done. They have invested a lot of money to keep the club updated and at a level not seen in on Long Island for a yacht club. They also have great food every week at the restaurant as well. Really nice people. Its a place that you just never want to leave. They make new comers feel very welcome. .”

“My friends and I had a lovely afternoon at The Rockaway Hotel Pool house. We were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess, Isabella, who made us feel so welcomed. Our beautiful table was in the perfect spot to take in all of what the Rockaway Hotel has to offer. The outside bar and Pool house are exquisite. The pool was bustling with excitement. Our waiter, Andrew, was polite and helpful . I highly recommend coming to The Rockaway Hotel because their staff is highly professional and attentive.”

“We had breakfast there the morning of 5/30/26 (we were attending a wedding). There was an older gentleman with an Irish accent who was very sweet & funny. I was recently diagnosed with Celiac's disease, so the staff made sure I was able to get something without getting sick. He said the chef wasn't sure about the mozzarella for my dish, but me & our server were quite sure it was safe. I was just happy to find something that was vegetarian & gluten free! He even came over & took my pulse LOL! Excellent food & staff!”

“Chongqing Lao Zao is a restaurant where you go not only for the delicious food but for the entire experience. You walk through the entrance and it is like stepping into a whole new universe that takes place in ancient China. The staff is friendly and seating is comfortable. So many food options and a beautiful sauce bar as well. Definitely recommend the dual pot. Beware of the amount of chilis in their spicy broth. Mild is shockingly spicy but we ended up separating the chili peppers from the broth after a bit and got the tomato broth to balance it out. A small thing but we also really enjoyed the little snacks they brought out in the beginning. Watermelon seeds and I think they were broad beans? Seasoned really well. Highly suggest either grabbing a reservation or joining the waitlist early here.

“157 Tavern has been a staple in the area for 10 years and is an excellent choice for parties or group gatherings. You can simply provide them with your budget, and they will curate the menu for you, which makes the planning process very convenient.

Regarding the food:

Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.

Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.

King Salmon: Quite tender.

Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.

Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.

Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.”
