“Went out to Queens with my family and randomly found this amazing Nepalese restaurant. The momo and all Nepalese food I ordered were really good, and honestly, the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality.
The place was clean, the food tasted fresh, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Compared to a lot of Nepalese restaurants I’ve tried in New York, this one really stood out. Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re looking for good Nepali food in Queens.”

Most of the review talks about Himalayan side of menu , however for me I really enjoyed non Himalayan items . All items are well thought out with well balanced flavor profile. My favorite was chicken sandwich and burrata . Ambience and service were great. Servers were vert polite and you do really feel like they care about you. Definitely coming back again and would highly recommend to others as well.”

Of course you can request them to not add the soup in though. Also, the bubble tea here is really really good. It tastes exactly how the fruit is supposed to taste (ex: lychee bubble tea does taste like lychee). Since it mostly just serves bubble tea and momos, I’ve only tried those and giving feedback for them. Service is great, they’re so respectful and nice to you. Atmosphere gets 4 stars because the place isn’t always comfy. The pricing is great too.”

Got two salsa verde tamales for $2 and they were fresh, spicy, and delicious, with tender chicken and great salsa. Delicious to have hot tamales during winter. Great value; will definitely be coming back to try the mole tamales.”

Food: The breads are delicious, fluffy and still good after few days. UBE PANDESAL: to me this was the best I had unlike online seller this has visible cheese and ube jam inside the bread. Heat it up in the microwave for 10 seconds and devour its goodness. TAHO: how i miss taho in the Philippines, this breakfast drink is all about my country. Those soft tofu top with boba and syrup is just what I want in my life. Lol. Price rating: 5/10, not that bad for Filipino food cravings. Definitely will eat more here and try more of their breads!! “Was trying to get a table at Red Panda but they were full so I tried the Nepali restaurant next door. The food was good but was hit the Nepali Thalia I expected. I ordered a regular thali but they gave me a regular food beef on the side and also 2 eggs on top. Was not expecting the eggs, they should have asked me at least if I ate eggs. Overall experience was okay and was charged $25 for a thali which seems a little expensive for the region.”

Tonight (April 23rd) we brought our own friends and grown up children to celebrate our Eldest Son’s Birthday. I only have SUPERLATIVES for this Place. Kabayan is the best really. All the food we ordered were excellent ( they have an excellent Chef), the ambience, atmosphere and most especially the great service of : QT and Justin. I even got to meet its Manager tonight, Jen. Very, very gracious and hospitable people and staff. I will bring all our friends and visitors here to Kabayan! I highly recommend Kabayan, “ hindi ka mapapahiya”.”
