“Great authentic cuisine that brings a little bit of Bolivia to the United States. The saltenas are absolutely amazing. The shell was cooked to perfection while the inside was a treat of flavors that was heavenly. The Silpancho had such great flavor. So authentic with the Carne lightly breaded and seasoned with the flavorful Zarza and a beet, carrot and vegetable salsa that complimented the egg and potato. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to experience a little part of Bolivia here in Queens, New York.”

Awesome all around had a group of 10 all accommodated and others in restaurant were seated in 2 and 4's. Tasty food dumplings or mono shared and eaten. Vegetarian in family easily accommodated. “Me and my boyfriend came here a little before midnight and the space was bright and clean. The gentleman behind the cashier greeted us, answered all our questions and made any adjustment we asked for with no problem. Staff was super nice! “Been coming here for yearsssss! This is an absolute gem in Woodside. I love their lattes and pastries. Huge shoutout to the staff who are always so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend their new seasonal drink, Mad Purple made with purple sweet potato cream latte made with their homemade purée.”

“I am Happy to say I was introduced to The Woodlot thanks to a Yelp event. I enjoyed the atmosphere and service, I declared that I would definitely return.

A couple months later a fav and I decided to stop in after an event. Upon walking in Amanda (co-owner/partner) greeted me by name. What? How in the world did she remember me by name? That’s wild and the look on my face expressed my utter surprise. We all burst out in laughter.

Just like the first time we grabbed a seat @ the bar. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere and feel of the space. It gives spacious elevated comfort, if that's even an interior design thing.

Amanda was just as sweet and attentive as before as she managed to take care of everyone solo. I told her I returned like I said I would to try their wings and another cocktail off the menu.

My fav and I both opted for a couple of the FOCO U Martinis. For wings I went with the Honey Garlic and my fav went with the Classic Buffalo. The wings were fresh and hot, I can’t say for sure if they are the “Best Wings in Queens” just yet. They were good however, I need to try them a couple more times before I can decide.

Amanda thank you for your amazing service and impressionable personality. I think I found a go-to spot in Woodside.

They do not offer ranch with the wings, only blue cheese (yuck). TBH its not needed the wings can stand on their own.”

“Hole in the wall Dominican food. I love the mangu here. Good food, huge portions, cheap prices. The owner is super friendly and kind. Cash only spot. Tiny area to sit and eat if you prefer. I usually pick up.”

“My mother has been coming here well over a decade, the people who work here are very accommodating and beyond helpful. It’s an order at counter and sit service, they still make sure you have everything in case you decide to eat in. I bring my wife and family here often whenever I have the opportunity because the food is so good! Great breakfast and daily specials they write on the menu board that is visible on your left hand side besides ordering counter. I’ve had so many different plates and soups I can’t even recall them all only thing I can remember is how much I enjoy every meal all the time. Always that authentic Mexican flavor that taste just like moms cooking. This place is very fond to me because if that reason. You can savor the care and love in every plate, honestly I have nothing but compliments for this restaurant/bakery I could write forever! 6 stars for service and specifically Paolo- always polite, smiling and great service
-2 stars for the bouncers: poor attitude, rude with the illusion that they have authority. It would be great if they can get real; ID reading barely makes them different that the rest of us - haha
5 stars for the beer: great draft and bottled variety

“The only reason I'm only giving it 3 stars for food is that my Mom had the Arancini and I had a Spinach Pinwheel and neither of those things were up to par. If I rated them on the Pizza only, they would get 4.5 stars. The service and the prices are good.”
