I was wandering about Woodside after doing some shopping in the area and spotted this place. Since I felt like a pint of Guinness, I ventured in. The bar maiden, Ally, was friendly from the start, and the vibe of the place was what I like - a neighborhood bar with its regs and no pretensions to being anything more. After a couple of pints, I had to be on my way, but I shall definitely be returning. A good, relaxing experience for me.
Blue collared dive with some serious "don't change our effin neighborhood" vibes. Love it because it hates you, and don't worry which of your parents is to blame for that.

It is a sports pub. No food, cash only and rugged. But I was a single woman that wanted to read my book, be on my phone and watch the hockey game. Not only did Kathy and Caesar allow me to do so, they were kind, conversational and lovely. It is what it advertises and I can't wait to Go back again. Apparently there is good pizza next door that they let you bring in, but the drinks are reasonable and the patrons are delightful.
