Best pupusas in New York City. Everything they serve is home made and following authentic recipes from El Salvador.The pickled cabbage that comes with the pupusas is so delicious. The couple that owns this restaurant also prepare Mexican food and drinks. Tamarind and horchata drinks make me remember with warmth the food of my childhood in Santa Ana. I highly recommend Ricas Pupusas to anyone that wants to enjoy traditional food from El Salvador.
My favorite Pupusas place and I have looked for many Salvadoran restaurant places but I never liked them. 4 years ago I moved to Sunnyside and this place is a hidden treasure with the best delicious pupusas.

GET THE MANGO/PINEAPPLE/ORANGE SMOOTHIE- insanely good!!! The pupusas I got were insanely good!! First time having a pupusa and I will be back for more!!! Great prices, fantastic customer service (family and woman owned!), not a fancy place by any means but good quality food!!! They also make to order so don't think it's going to be super fast but it's also not a long wait and it's worth it! Fresh is always best.
