“Skoops in Barberton is by far my favorite ice cream shop. They have a large menu and always have new flavors to try. The homemade GF, DF options vary. They always have vanilla bean, and it's amazing. They also have different GF, DF flavors weekly. My husband loves the frosted yellow cake in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. It has chucks of cake and chocolate. It's not GF, DF. I ordered a scoop of soft serve cake batter and a scoop of fudgesicle. “This ice cream shop's popularity is self evident, with a drive thru that seems to always have cars in line, and that aged retro look which clearly says it has been around for a long while. Clearly it is doing things right. They offer simple foods, good soft serve ice cream, and many hard serve flavors, none of which have failed to surprise me with how good they are. It's become a weekend tradition for my family to visit. I recommend Welch's with extreme fervor!“
“This place is worth the drive . Exceptional food, not like any other restaurant I've ever had. I got the shrimp po boy with fries, my partner had the hot dog combo- he said it was excellent. No indoor seating right now. The owner came out to talk with us, she is so sweet and genuine; just doing her thing out here with some great great recipes. It's people like this that make you feel good about America again and think there's hope for our children's future. If you haven't been here yet, give it a try, you're gonna love it!
