“Ashley, OH. Blink and you might miss it. Didnt expect to find a hidden gem here... But that is exactly what we found. Turn into their tiny town and you will find the Rusted Nail (a tavern) You will be completely surprised and impressed. I highly recommend this place and this is why: The bar uses some warm lights to create a golden glow among the bottles. Scattered among the bottles are some bobble heads which made me laugh- But the lighting works and creates a good vibe. The inside is done in dark wood and dark paint. Its cozy and classic. The bartender really likes the place (you could just tell and that a GOOD sign) and she was quite helpful with the menu. Their menu is priced reasonable. The food we had was really good. Drinks reasonable. They have live music on the weekends (primarily Sundays) Kareoke on Thursdays They smoke their own meats... thats done on Wednesday so if you are looking for wings come on Wednesday. It kind of seems like when they are gone they are gone until the next Wednesday. Lol. I looked over the menu and saw a unique item: Pickle Bacon Grilled Cheese. Thought. Huh. Weird. Had to order it to make my husband say, "really???" Which he did, btw. Well, OMGosh.... That pickle sandwich completely hit it out of the park and was a home run! I was shocked. Delicious. They season their toast a teeny bit which really added to the sandwich. I would get it again...hand to God. We plan on coming back soon. So if you're on the fence... hop off it and head over! “The food is great. Service was fine, with everyone being friendly, however, it was busy when we got there with no direction to guide us. Made things a little awkward. The fried bologna is definitely great, but the fried pickles were fantastic. They serve everything on disposable plates which honestly gives it a homemade feel. G&R Tavern is 100% worth the stop if you find yourself nearby.“

“Get the burger medium rare!! It was amazing. Not a typical piece of burger meat either. Idk what it was but it looked more like a thin filet minon than a burger.The butternut squash dish with shrimp was much smaller and more $. The shrimp was blackened which I don't like and over cooked. I was upset I didn't get the burger but at least I got a couple tastes before he destroyed it.Flight of beer was great. I liked the hefe and triple.“

“2nd time trying this place! Great food! We live in Marion, so unfortunately we don’t have a City BBQ. Had it for the first time in Marysville at my cousins wedding! It was delicious! Went there today with some of the famil; we had the pulled pork, baked beans, Mac and cheese and fries! Great and fast service, however, we were not provided eating utensils and napkins which was pretty disappointing. I ordered on the app and did the curbside pickup.“

“Our go to for hamburgers and fries! Service is always great!! You may have one servicer but there is always another one that pops by to ask if you need anything and/or makes sure everything is ok. This is so refreshing to see! The atmosphere is great! Fun, not, to loud place to go hang out and have a burger and fries!! We have also tried the wings and they don't disappoint! Dry rub and full wing...delicious!! We have also had the Reuben Balls and Fried Banana Peppers for appetizers, both are soooo good! Have not had a bad meal here!!“

I had the wings with the Carolina Barbecue, my wife had the chicken wrap with hush puppies delicious , we also had the candle bread service (fancy) my friend had the brussel sprouts chicken wrap, the fries were great also We will be back. “After a day at the groovy Plant Ranch, Boondocks was the perfect find! Ideal for a group hangout, everything was fresh, and the service was friendly. The buffalo chicken dip and garbage fries were standouts - don't skip them! And for balance, their salads are a great choice. Plus, the spacious atmosphere was a pleasant surprise!“

They also offer sugar-free syrup which is great for kids.If you’ve been to any Waffle House, you know it’s not a quiet place, and it tends to be a little cold, so bring a light jacket.“

It is great in that the food fits their style and they welcome them.It is horrible in that they are usually packed and the tables are jammed that it can be hard to move around with child carriers.“
