We went to Romans last night for some pizza. We've never been there and knew they had some mixed reviews. This is not a fancy building, I would classify this as a hole in the wall. The pizza was great! We met the new owner and he was very nice, even turned the hockey game on for us. Don't go here expecting anything fancy. This is a laid back place with good pizza. Simple as that.

This is a great little pizza place in Canal. My wife and I are both pizza snobs and we both really enjoyed the NY style which is kind of rare for us. We also saw this great blues rock duo called the Lews Brothers. They sounded great and were at a perfect volume for us to enjoy the music while still having a conversation without having to shout. We took our young kids and they both really enjoyed all of it too. We’ll be back to see them and have more pizza soon. Very friendly service too btw.

I have never eaten here and will never eat here. As my mom, sister and I were checking out the menu while standing in line, we were rudely spoken to by a female staff. We turned and walked out. They lost out on 3 households being current and repeat customers. I don’t know if this person was having a bad day but if she had only said something nice it would have changed the entire experience. I tell everybody not to go here.

Ordered xl pizza half pep half cheese. Bland and crust hard as a rock. And a giant Italian sub. Wife said it was horrible. Very low quality ingredients. Even the cookies for $0.75 each reminded me of a commissary cookies from prison, they sucked. Definitely will NOT be ordering from there again. The people were nice, but that's it. Guessing the bar is what keeps the doors open. Cause it's definitely not the food.

Just had dinner at Roman's. The subs and loaded fries were AWESOME! Owner very nice and courteous.
Absolutely loved the pizza!! Even the pepperoni has it's own little zing! Perfect little pizza & pub, spot in downtown Canal Winchester! A "must" try! Great pizza & an ice cold beer, what's better!?Kid-friendliness: Perfect after work spot OR for a family pizza night! If you live within walking distance of downtown Canal Winchester, take a stroll, with your family and give Roman's Pizza & Pub a try!Parking: Free street parking and rear building parking.Wheelchair accessibility: The front door is a double-door, entrance. It is VERY narrow; and may not be wide enough, for all wheelchairs and or sitting motor-carts!? May have to maneuver small bumps or inclines; as it is a very OLD (maybe historically old) building. The rear entrance; may be the best choice for wheelchair accessibility!??

My boyfriend and I was excited to visit Romans pizza because of its reviews. The food and service was good. BUT we waited 45min before our food arrived to us at the bar. We almost left. That’s not all…. as we were paying our bill, there were 2 older gentleman that came in talking to the young man that was behind the bar. It was clear they were the owners or managers there. As were were leaving the bar I overheard one of them say to the young man” did they pay”? The young man said “yes” I stopped to take my last sip of my water in disbelief that he was talking about us. I looked around and there was NO one else in the restaurant it was about 930. I was about to say something but I didn’t . I just shook my head and kept walking. I just thought that was VERY rude , Unfortunately being a black woman with a white boyfriend we get that a lot.

I have grown up eating Romans pizza, so 40 yrs. Today I come in town to see they changed their hours to open at 3pm. I got done at 2:20 and waited 40 mins until they opened. I walked in at 3:03, immediately the owner saw me and said "we're closed" brashly. I asked “seriously?”. She bluntly said yeah and turned on her heel to walk away. Why did they even unlock the door? I have no idea what happened before I walked in the door, but you shouldn’t speak to customers that way. This is a special treat for me that I only get when in town. No need to waste my time or money anymore. I don’t need the special treat. Btw, one of these stars is for nostalgia sake.
