The floor needs washed. Had to be my own waiter and use a kiosk to order food and then asked if I wanted to leave a tip. The receipt came out blank. Lucky I was the only customer in the place. Didn't even get a tray for food, just came in a basket. Used the pop machine to despense my own drink. Don't think I will be going back. The food was edible.

What happened? Steak and shake used to be Poppin! Now you just order on a screen, get your own drinks, take your tray up when you're done, employees literally just cook. And they don't even have the fry seasoning at the tables anymore, you have to buy a whole container. Very disappointed .

First of all, I want to start by saying that the burger and the milkshake were good. The rest of the experience ruined those things for my wife and I. We went to a movie and came here for dinner on a Saturday night. It was around 7 pm. We haven't been to a steak and shake in a while, but we remembered how good it was and wanted to try it again. I wish we hadn't. You have to order from a kiosk, even if you are dining in. When you order, you get your own drink, and basically, serve yourself. You wait on the food and have to walk up and get your own food, which is fine, but you take care of yourself, and they still asked for a tip? That doesn't seem right. Who am i tipping? If you want a tip, give me the service. The food was not good. Like I said before, the burger was decent, but the fries were not done all the way, and the chili was basically water with beans and chunks of meat in it. The restaurant was dirty. Floors were sticky. Bathrooms were terrible and stank. What happened to steak and shake? Are they all like this now? If so, that's bad news. They used to be something to look forward to. Now it's just a run-of-the-mill fast food joint. I will not go out of my way to eat here again. I was very disappointed.

It's been awhile since I've been here. The only service they have now is someone cooking and setting your food on the counter, then they yell out your name and leave. You have to order off an app or a kiosk. You then have to get your own drink and pick up your food from counter. The food was ok.
