Our server Darby was truly amazing, she gave us great suggestions on food and drinks since this was our first time here. We will definitely be back.
Drinks are great, I like the Suit and Tie and the Painkiller. My wife loves the Lost in Osaka.The beef carpaccio (left) was delicious! Awesome flavor. The wagyu kebab was also good. The burger is always good.Staff is attentive and helpful, even when it's jam packed. Cool looking place, good music.

I was really excited to try the newer restaurant that my husband made us reservations for, but I couldn’t have been more disappointed. The ambience seemed nice what’s expected in a trendy area and the place was busy. They sat us at a high top and the first thing I noticed was the lighting. I couldn’t read the menu in the dark and had to use a flashlight. We ordered two different cocktails, mine tasted like straight citrus and my husbands Flying Fox tasted like well… a wet fox. I ordered oxtail risotto, it came out like oxtail jerky so salty on top of uncooked risotto inedible ! I actually had to send food back which I hate doing and maybe have done 3 times in 10 years. The service was fantastic! They took care of it right away and brought me a different plate, chicken kyuzi which was again over salty and had no real flavor and was overcooked. I sucked it up and ate a few bites as I was starving at this point. My husband’s pizza was bland and again over salted even for him who likes salt. Is the only seasoning salt in this place? We ordered two more cocktails, again terrible and heavy handed on the citrus. I actually ended up with one of the worst cases of indigestion in my life after this

Bright Side ruined by birthday brunch this past weekend.
Let’s start with the worst of it. I brought an expensive cake from Wild Flour that I was told was fine to bring. They tried to charge a $30 cake fee that I was NOT told about, but ended up waiving it after I brought it up. But then, when I asked the waitress to bring the cake back to the table… they had CUT IT UP already. It had a beautiful design I paid alot of money for and I wanted to photograph it and sing Happy Birthday like normal people. WTF.. I am still so mad about this… who cuts the cake up??? No restaurant has ever done this.
Now, on top of this, they offer “vegan” options. I only picked this place for that reason. My sister is vegan and I see her sitting with no food and she tells me our waitress says the only thing that’s vegan are the salads. WTF… so now my sister is ordering food from Town Hall across the street because Bright Side’s menu is deceiving.
Lastly, I wanted to take pictures downstairs, which was advertised online, but of course, they said no because it was closed. To just take some pictures!!!!!! Omg
I will avidly tell people not to go here now because they ruined my birthday celebration, which I was looking forward to after being sick over the last two months and finally starting to recover. This restaurant does not care about customer service, and I wouldn’t go here to celebrate anything—especially if you have a cake.
BrightSide was a wonderful atmosphere and had great service and cocktails.....the food was very average in my opinion and could definitely use some work. Outside of that, I would DEFINITELY go back! My server was Christine and she was such a sweetheart ?
