I only downloaded Yelp to leave a review about this bar. This is my favorite place in the world. Here is a picture of me having a beer at McCarthys. Look how happy I am. No further explanation.
A friend and I decided to have dinner here before a show at Jacob's Pavilion. It was a little busy, but they looked understaffed. We sat and waited and nobody came to our table. I finally went to the bar where I waited a really long time. I made new friends at the bar, and finally caught an employee to take my order. The drinks were good, especially the lemod drop shots. One of the chillest dive bars in town. Food is rather good served late and they host a fun karaoke night twice a week. Guy bartenders never seem to be the friendliest but Bartender Dustin is exceptional with his service and attentiveness. Try one of his Long Islands!
