The omelet that I ate was fantastic, but the service wasn't very good. I stood at the counter waiting to order for about 10 minutes. I asked multiple employees if I was in the right spot, and every time I was told eventually someone would take my order. By the time someone finally did show up there were another 12 people behind me waiting. It was busy but not overly.

This is a lovely lunch spot, which even has outdoor seating. I had the lobster bisque with crusty baguette, which I really enjoyed. Definitely will return. The chocolate cake is amazing!

I was in Columbus for the afternoon for some errands and found this little French cafe/bakery. The restaurant looked warm and inviting. The bakery portion is right inside the front door. I picked out a strawberry tart with creme filling to enjoy for later, and it was delicious. There is a cafeteria style line where you pick out your food, pay, and then set yourself. I selected a cup of vegetable soup with bread. My spouse got the onion soup and bread. My soup was warm and tasty, chocked full of veggies. The onion soup was dark and rich with a deep flavor to the broth. Both were delicious. The bread was excellent. Crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. It was a great experience overall. I hope to go back again.

I have not been here in years. I met a friend here for lunch upon her request. I'm so glad we chose La Chatelaine French Bakery for our girl's lunch. The atmosphere and the food were great.

Staff was super nice! Greeted with "Bonjour!" When entering. Everything we had was delicious, pastries, and cappuccinos were comparable to what we had in France. We will definitely be back! If only we lived close. We would make this a frequent stop.

Our OSU grad student's absolute favorite place for brunch and for good reason. Exquisite French pastries, menu selection and dining area. An absolute gem in Columbus.
"Self service" bistro. Bakery, salads, sandwiches, limited hot meals. Not too busy when we arrived so tables were readily available. Our food was ready quickly. Prices are pretty much on par these days with restaurants. I chose the pick 3 which was a cup of onion soup, croutons and cheese were extra, a small Caesar salad, and a sandwich. Everything was good although I will say that the sandwich was just a piece of ham on a bun with a slather of mustard no lettuce or tomato which would have been nice. There is self-serve water and other beverages are available. When you leave someone will clean the table up for you. Had a long visit with family in a nice quiet environment.

Absolutely loved this place! The employees are great and super helpful. The pastries were delicious and so were the coffees. Highly impressed with this place and will return! If you’re a fan of macarons I highly recommend this place.
Good location, nice enough atmosphere.I got French onion soup, which was alright. Then I ordered a tarte and a coffee. The pastry was handed to me. I wasn't sure if the girl on staff remembered my coffee. She never said anything and went on to serve someone else.I had to wait, and eventually asked about the coffee. I was told to take a seat and that she would bring me the coffee. I had ordered a cafe au lait. It came in a bowl. Not a mug. Not a cup. A bowl.I should have taken pictures. You need new staff.

Good food, good service, and a really lovely bakery in general. Get there early, though, since they run out of food pretty fast.
