“Traveled to the area for a weekend and was recommended this place for karaoke. The DJ was very friendly and the patrons just the same also the sound system was very good. It became very busy as the night went on yet still had the space to not feel cramped. The bartender was very professional, also a great singer. While there I did not have any food but they were very busy with food service. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area ??“
“I decided to try Punts and Pints since there was a Groupon and the menu looked good. P&P is located on State Road in a small plaza of shops; I got there on a Monday late afternoon. There is a large patio outfront, which should be nice when the weather is better. Inside is a large room with a big bar in the middle and plenty of room around it. The atmosphere is dark and feels like a typical tavern; very little decor, tvs over the bar, pool tables and video games. The food menu is fairly typical, apps, sandwiches, pizza, salads and a couple of entrees. The first time I tried to eat there they did not have anyone in the kitchen; fortunately, the next time they did have one lady who was tending bar and also preparing food since the place was almost empty. I ended up ordering the Bang Bang Shrimp app and the 3 piece Perch and Fries dinner. The app came out first, the shrimp were juicy with a crispy breading perfectly fried and topped with a sweet hot Asian sauce, really tasty and satisfying. Next up was the main course of 3 nice sized fillets of perch lightly coated and fried sided with a nice portion of fresh cut fries and crispy coleslaw; all of the items were freshly prepared and clearly made in house which made for a very nice meal. Punts and Pints presents as your typical sports bar/tavern just a place to grab some drinks and some grub, but the food exceeded my expectations. From what I tried they are not doing anything fancy, but they are preparing the food to order and actually making things in house as opposed to just using lots of frozen preprepared food. Service was good but the place was almost empty and the one employee was working hard, so your experience may be different.“
“Excellent experience! Manager put on games we wanted and server was outstanding (Starletta B.) she needs a raise!! She made excellent suggestions and was personal. If we lived here we would come Back for all the week day things she told us about!! - thanks from the birthday lady for the fried twinkies and signing“
“This and Panera have the best tomato soup the food is always good everything is just relaxed the only thing I wish they would change is I wish they would have had the football game audio on instead of the music and sometimes no music would be “
“This is the spot. This is where Cheers in Akron would be filmed. The servers/tenders all love each other and love the customers. All the regulars are welcoming and loving to other less-frequent visitors. There’s plenty of decoration demonstrating this bar’s love for the community; there’s enough TVs for 3 sports games in 1 night; there’s touchtunes and immensely underrated food. The wings are a great bet. The burgers are top-notch. Personally, I like the hot Italian sausage balls. Fried sausage filled with cheese??? Come on. A+. Also, prices are still really fair. They’ve worked hard to try to keep this place afloat despite inflation. Call me a lifelong visitor.“
“Missing falls is one of our absolute favorote Akron breweries! Good beer selection, (multiple sizes and flight options), great food, and a wonderful staff. We enjoy the vibe of the place, the shelf full of games, and that it’s family friendly. We frequent often while on bike rides. Bonus points for ample indoor bike parking.“
“Super! Our lunch waitress was awesome! Gave us time to decide on drinks and our menu choices. She came back many times to check on us. So so many drink choices, but I always like a Guinness draft. We all chose chicken sandwiches that were all wonderful variations of juicy real chicken breast! Fries and onion rings were delicious. BBQ sauce served on your table. Make sure to get a side of pierogies and ask for your pickle chips or spear!!!Vegetarian options: Black bean burgers!Parking: Lots of parking available near the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Families were present.Wheelchair accessibility: All on one level, wide areas, and large restroom!“
“excellent food, excellent service, fair prices. loved the pakoraz, tandoori, and tikka. the breads were phenomenal! definitely more bar focused, surprisingly we were the only table during dinner rush on a Saturday, a small bar crowd came in a little later into the evening but otherwise the place was empty, probably just not too known about in the area. absolutely worth trying if you enjoy Nepalese/Indian foodKid-friendliness: they have high chairs for tiny onesWheelchair accessibility: no stairs“
“Met my boss here for lunch. The server was amazing. She took the time to explain the menu to us since we are not from Akron. I got just the regular Philly and was amazing, my boss was happy with his food Also. I will try to come back next time in Akron.“
“I’ll tell you what. The young lady Naja that was our server was Great to us. My wife is Gluten free and she initially thought “oh boy what I’m a going to eat”. Naja referenced cauliflower crust pizza and the Impossible burger. The burger my wife ate was fantastic. The boom boom shrimp, wings and the PIZZA were delicious. The atmosphere with sports playing on big screens and the cleanliness of the place make this a home run for eating out! Thank you“
