“Sueño is now easily our favorite Mexican restaurant in Dayton. The atmosphere is vibrant, with great energy and stylish decor. The service is impeccable, complete with complimentary valet parking! Their cocktails are a highlight, especially 'The Guy,' and the food is out of this world. We tried the chips and salsa, (Salsa del Día), Tacos de Cochinita, and the smoked chicken enchiladas — all were absolutely delicious. The smoked chicken enchiladas were so good that we had to order a second serving. I could eat their chips and salsa every day; the salsa, possibly a fermented pineapple and jalapeño blend, is one of the best I’ve ever tasted. If you're looking for upscale Mexican cuisine, Sueño will not disappoint!”

I’ve visited since they opened and felt it was a great brunch spot, but the menu was a bit static for date night dinner. I’m happy to say, they’ve knocked it out of the park with their new menu and Tiki Bar theme.
Cocktails were well-crafted and deserving of the price point, food was excellent and the portions were incredible! Best of all was the service. I’ve always enjoyed the waitstaff at Lily’s, but the team they have now truly love their jobs and their customers, and it shows! They collectively serve the customers as a team and work very cohesively. The result was prompt service and getting to interact with multiple wonderful humans. 10/10 will be back again soon!”

Sides and salads are limited, again might want to look at expanding. The grocery concept, I get it biggest complaint of downtown residents is lack of a grocery store. There selection is limited and didnt look like they covered the basics. I would either get in or out of thar business and maybe focus on being a sandwich shop.”

Kitchen was not at capacity or extremely busy. Assistant Manager falsely claimed to be the Manager and was unwilling to offer any compensation for the wait. A.M stated 45min is standard wait and insinuated I was trying to get a discount on bar tab because I waited until the bill came out. A.M falsely claimed I was the only table that had complained about the wait. Waitress clearly indicated a table near me also complained and received a free appetizer as I was requesting to speak to the manager. The unwillingness to make minor compensations or take accountability is the reason another dollar will never be spent again at T.P. Waitress was tipped fairly at 20%.”

“Steak Thyme is a hidden gem! I've known the family who owns this place for years and I'm kicking myself for not coming sooner. While they're famous for their cheesesteaks, they offer so much more. It's a fantastic sports bar with incredible food and service. We had a Bavarian pretzel that was the size of my head with two amazing dipping sauces, and we also tried fried banana peppers for the first time. They were incredible! Our server, Taner, was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. She made great recommendations, including the addictive banana peppers we funneled! I even had a chance to chat with one of the owners, Jake. Turns out I know his older sister! (Another incredible human being) It's a family-owned business with a great atmosphere and even better food. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu.”

“Ok so we’ve dined at Old Scratch Troy location about 6 times since it’s opened. Waited a bit to give them time to really get in their groove. While I do recommend the place. Pizza is good, staff is nice (especially Amanda at the bar) and shareables are tasty. That said I would like to see the food’s taste be a little more consistent. My favorite dish is the fire roasted cauliflower but sadly it hasn’t been prepared the same way twice with the last two times it was barely seasoned at all once it was almost raw. Hopefully as training continues they will fix that issue.”

“Originally from Buffalo NY, found it very difficult to find a pizza that even comes close to what I was used to. I've tried many pizzas across the Miami Valley and all I can say is that most were pretty bad, and a few ok but not much more. 2 places were halfway decent but those places went downhill. I finally tried Joe's Pizza last month and have to say, the Absolute Best in Miami Valley. It was the closest to Buffalo Style Pizza I ever had in Southwest Ohio. Told their Staff the same. I will definitely be going back there despite being a little drive from where I live. I would recommend Joe's Pizza to everyone, especially if you're looking for a quality pizza!!”

The favorite old fashioned is made with syrup now and no longer sugar cubes. The favored whiskey sour? no longer made with egg whites and knock off cherries. So very sad to see another great piece of what makes Dayton unique, squandered to this piece of crap. You should be disappointed.”

They make their own focaccia and bring a house Blended herb butter. As an appetizer we ordered an olive mix which came warm and in a delectable oil with spice. That helped us finish up the rest of the focaccia. Our entree was one we split and it was plenty for two. It was a pasta dish al dente with clams and nicely ground Italian sausage in a butter sauce. Could not have asked for a better service.”

I just wanted to say that these two ladies was doing a fantastic job for you restaurant. The Manager is a white gentleman with blonde hair. Bock excels at creating a space where we gather as family, friends, soccer teams, etc with their large open room, but also there's a game room my kids love, foosball, and shuffle board. And that's not even getting to the food and drinks. My favorite snacks include the German nachos, reuben dip, and pretzels. The drinks are always on point- fresh and delicious. we always love the lemon blueberry with with a slice of lemon and the Negligent IPA. They are staffed by some of the greatest people. “I’ve been driving by this store since I was a kid and Peter’s Pike was on our route to the airport. Back then, was Edna’s Little Store. Such a fine selection of wines. The store was noticeably immaculate. Looked like you could eat off of the floor and their deli food is so good - we got potato salad, shrimp salad and a gigantic loaded baked potato. All of them were a 10 out of 10 but the shrimp salad was a 12. It was delectable! I’m not sure what the seasoning was but it was a bit like paprika or Cajun. I can’t wait to go back and get something else, like the sandwiches!”

We arrived at 2 pm and there was NOBODY inside.. well, there were maybe 4-6 guests, but none came in afterward! It was very lean in guests and very quiet, which had us wondering if we'd just missed the lunch crowd or was it always this way on Mondays 🤔. Anyway, our server was pleasant, barely allowing our bottoms to touch the seat before she wanted our drink orders...can we settle in and look at the menu first? Though we saw the signs advertising $8.99 burgers all day on Monday, she didn't try to sell us on it, actually didn't even mention it to us, or mention that we were still within the lunch time menu offerings. The mozzarella cheese sticks were really good and our burgers were too, we only wished they gave an option for adding an egg to the top of our sandwiches! When the receipt came, we noticed that they do charge $.50 for an extra cup of marinara sauce-there were 2 of us sharing 8 cheese sticks. You'd think just one extra cup would be standard, without cost and they charge $2.99 for adding mushrooms to the burger?? Overall, we enjoyed our meal and each other's company, so there's not much to really complain about.”

My favorite dish is the fire roasted cauliflower but sadly it hasn’t been prepared the same way twice with the last two times it was barely seasoned at all once it was almost raw. Our server, Taner, was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. She made great recommendations, including the addictive banana peppers we funneled! Kitchen was not at capacity or extremely busy. Assistant Manager falsely claimed to be the Manager and was unwilling to offer any compensation for the wait. A.M stated 45min is standard wait and insinuated I was trying to get a discount on bar tab because I waited until the bill came out. A.M falsely claimed I was the only table that had complained about the wait. Waitress clearly indicated a table near me also complained and received a free appetizer as I was requesting to speak to the manager. The unwillingness to make minor compensations or take accountability is the reason another dollar will never be spent again at T.P. Waitress was tipped fairly at 20%.”
