Why drive to Toledo or Fort Wayne when you can find better food & service, save gas and support local in downtown Defiance? Will definitely visit again.”

“I had the pleasure of being brought here for lunch today and - wow!! The waitstaff is very friendly and accommodating. I had the pastor torta and it was amazing! El pastor is one of my favorite Mexican dishes and I haven't had it in a restaurant where it was this good since I lived out west 25 years ago! We also grabbed a bottle of Coronado vanilla rompope from the grocery store on a whim and weren't sure what to expect. I had the leftover half of my torta and guacamole from lunch along with a small glass of the rompope for dinner a little while ago, and it was incredibly good. I'll definitely be back for more!”

“This place is absolutely amazing! We were just passing through town and looked for somewhere to eat lunch. If we had a restaurant like this in our town we'd be going every week. The menu was endless with so many amazing choices. Everything is so fresh and delicious. It was so cool to try something we've never had before, and have it taste so good. The portions are very generous. The service was excellent. The restaurant was very clean. Very impressive place!”

“We were visiting for DC college drop off and decided to try Kissner's out! We were absolutely blown away by the atmosphere, the food, the service, and the drinks! There is something cool about being in a historic downtown and sitting in a restaurant that is 95 years old! Their menu is giant! Highly recommend!”

“I have been CRAVING fettuccine alfredo from Padrones for daysss. When i called it rang busy for about 30 minutes (which, it's Friday night, it's to be expected) but i refused to go anywhere else. I WANT THAT ALFREDO ! ? Anyways, the phone went through & Shana (I hope I'm spelling the name correctly) was so nice ! I loved her personality and had a very human experience. She hyped up everything i ordered ! As it should be. Lol but I loved our short encounter. She seems sweet and personable. FOOD IS ON THE WAYYYY & I have a family PUMPED for its arrival. Kudos to Shana. I never write reviews ! Lol thanks my friend !”

“The staff is always attentive and joyful. Food or ice cream is always delicious and bountiful. With all the choices available, it's hard not to grab something for yourself when making a pit stop! The environment is always welcoming and clean. Sometimes the machines go down, but I can understand that with how busy they can get on a regular basis! And they are always on a quick turn around to get things fixed so it's never a long let down when a machine is down.
With 2 locations in Defiance, and a mobile truck for venues or events, Eric's Ice Cream is a town favorite.”

It's just a tiny "you get what you get," place. I've been craving it especially hard the last few weeks. Was thrilled to find it was still open when I moved back this way.”

His personal creation Moster Cookie ended as my favorite. I also loved the Green Mountain and Forktober Fest. Disappointed my husband could not join me, I flew back to Montana with a few of my favorites!!10,000% will visit again!”

“Was in Defiance last weekend with friends. We were looking for a place to have lunch and I had seen on the Valentine Theater site that Ensign’s was where Maag’s used to be and they had a lot of the same menu. Went there years ago, before 1980, and was pleasantly surprised with the lunch. Had the roast beef, knockers, chips & draft beer. Everything was great and the prices are very reasonable. We all had a good time and my friends were happy that I suggested going here. Keep up the good work!”

“Love the food and the smoothies are delicious, BUT at the window the girl was not polite at all and pretty much shoved our food at us and when we went to ask for one more straw she just shuts the window😳 we had to wait for her to come back to the window to ask for one. After getting the straw we got no thank you or anything….just seems like people now a days need to learn basic communication and how to be polite.”

“We were in town for a funeral today and we wanted to eat before our 2 1/2 hour drive home. We decided on Fricker’s after checking out the menu. They were not expecting a group of 13 on a random Monday afternoon, but they went above and beyond for our family, and our server was on her own and did a phenomenal job! The food was SO good! They packet the salad & wraps with so much meat, the Brew Fries with nacho sauce ? and the boneless wings were not only prepared perfectly, but the sauces were so tasty! Thank you Fricker’s for making our sad day so much better for our family.”

“This place has drifted from when I was a kid. Nobody appreciates the good ole days .. I know I sound about 80 saying that but we went here a lot as kids and it was great. Went with the kids and my inlaws and we had a great time. Our hostess Taylor was great as well. She was on the ball seeing if we needed more refreshments etc. We will have to go back again maybe try making it a thing again for our kids growing up”

“Awesome staff serving early morning eats. The dude working there cooked it up proper and the lady in drive thru was very personable and friendly. Taco Bell is also a decent place for a low carb diet but you just need to order sides and mix them together in a bowl - which they have no trouble accommodating here. I would like to see more keto options at Taco Bell but it's decent enough. The staff really shined. I don't know if I should say but I'm always happy when Taco Bell is open late at night and allows one to pick up their food in the drive thru on foot, even though the dining room is closed. I'm a truck driver so you know, late at night you can't always get decent food. But this is a great spot to stop and eat.

Dietary restrictions: If you are on low carb then order 5x sides of meats, 5x lettuce sides, 5x shredded cheese, maybe some sour cream and guac. You have to get creative at Taco Bell if you eat keto but you can deffy eat well here. And the staff at this particular location in Defiance Ohio is friendly, professional and welcoming so it's no problem if you have a strange order.”
